Bruce Wayne: no-fucking-shit bros making the justice league 2.0
Dick Grayson: He would marry the mother, love his family, and want to be a dad, but he’d be terrified of messing them up or not being good enough for them—mostly because of limited time. He’s especially afraid of becoming like Bruce, even though they’d be completely different. I could see him occasionally getting overwhelmed, and when that happens, he might snap a little. But he would apologize relentlessly, explain to his child that he was wrong, and try to do better—and he would. He’d be an amazing father, spending every spare second with his daughter child. He would also become much better at saying no to others when it came to prioritizing his kid. He would love his child with all his heart and do everything possible to help them with anything, ever.
There would be no vigilante work for them until they were much, much older—around 17—and even then, the kid would have to beg. He would much rather they never got involved at all. I could see him trying to quit being Nightwing unless he was absolutely needed. When his child reached a certain age, he would be honest with them about it. He would love them unconditionally. I could also see him wanting another child—or maybe even a few—after having one.
Jason Todd: He doesn’t want kids—he’s scared to—not because of time but because he doesn’t want to pass on the desire to be a vigilante, as well as the mental illness and addiction that runs in his family. But he would absolutely end up adopting more than one kid—street kids with nobody, kids like him. And he would make damn sure that under no circumstances would they be doing any vigilante work. He would do everything humanly possible to protect them from that life and to be everything Bruce wasn’t or couldn’t be.
He tries his hardest, but showing affection isn’t his strong suit. Still, he gets there for his kids. They know they’re loved unconditionally. He would go to the ends of the earth for them—to the grave and back (again)—and they know it. He would also take better care of himself for them. He’s honest with his kids about his life, but he uses it as a warning, making sure they don’t follow in his footsteps.
Out of all the boys, he’s the most likely to inherit Bruce’s “adoption addiction” to some degree, though never to the point where he has too many to manage or so many that they don’t get enough quality time with him. He would also be a safe haven for his kids’ friends—anyone could stay anytime.
Tim Drake: He doesn’t really want kids either, but I could see him getting someone pregnant. He probably wouldn’t stay for the sake of it. If he loved her, he would, but if it was casual or a hookup, he’d try—but if they weren’t compatible, he wouldn’t force it. Not because he wouldn’t care about the kid, but because he’s smart enough to know that staying together for the wrong reasons could lead to resentment, disagreements, and an unhealthy environment. But he’d make sure things were on good terms and that he was always present in his child’s life.
He would be a good dad, but the most like Bruce. He wouldn’t be as emotionally available as the others, but he would do unspeakable things for his kid, and they would know they were loved—he just shows it differently. Out of all of them, he’d be the most open to allowing his kid into vigilantism, though he still wouldn’t be thrilled about it. He’d also be the most likely to hide it from them—but he’d fail. Not because he’s bad at it, but because that kid would be a motherfucking genius just like their dad.
He would seem to prioritize being a vigilante over his kid, though that wouldn’t be the case in the slightest. Still, his child would sometimes feel that way, and Tim would have to reassure them otherwise. As much as he loves them, he wouldn’t want another.
Damian Wayne: As much as people say he’d want to continue his family line and legacy, I feel like with his character development, that wouldn’t be the case. He would not want or have kids because he simply doesn’t want them, along with ending the cycle of generational trauma and abuse that he under no circumstances wants to even risk continuing. And having a child out of obligation is just wrong and unfair to the child. He is content without a child. Unlike some others, there would be no accidents, no whoopsie-daisy surprise you’ve got a baby shocks for him.
Duke Thomas: He would want to be a dad and would quit being a vigilante to raise his child until they were at least 16. When (or if) he returns, he would be completely honest with them—unless they inherited his abilities, in which case, they’d know from the jump. He would be a very loving father and would be in a committed relationship with the mother before having a child. On the rare occasions he and his partner argue, the kid would be none the wiser.
He’d be second only to Tim in being okay with his child becoming a vigilante, but even then, there would be very specific rules. His kid would never go out alone, never go on dangerous missions—only stakeouts or quiet patrols—and their life outside of vigilantism would always come first. Again, he would only want one child.
