"Wow! It’s an honor! Actually, I’ve only seen one of your paintings at this gallery couple of years ago. It was a painting of Mt. Moon Square. I remember it was my personal favorite because of how beautifully you painted the reflection of the starry sky and the full moon on the pond. Actually, I think it’s that painting that inspired my wish to travel and all."
She was careful not to overreact as she spouted flattery towards the man though it was true that that painting was her favorite.
"So I guess I should say, thank ya!" she giggled.
Red flared up on his cheeks, and he honestly wasn't sure how to respond to the flattery. Glasses fogging up, he pulled them off briefly and swept his hair from his face as he wiped at the lenses.
As he did so, he glanced back her way, swallowing and giving a nod.
"I'm glad you appreciated it so much," Donovan said, then finally settled his glasses back onto his face again comfortably. "It means a lot to hear--thank you."
