this won't ❌ be a pretty post because i 🙋 don't have the energy and frankly dgaf (this is also extremely long 📜 soz)
let's talk about the calendar i use in (almost) all my drs 📆🙏
let's start off with the 4 seasons, which are pretty much the same as this reality besides the fact that spring is called arree (and autumn is strictly called autumn, no such thing as fall❌) each season lasts 4 months and starts at the beginning of the month
now onto the 16 months of the year! months 1-8 are the same as this reality so january, february, march, etc. then we hit month 9 which is neptonus, then apollus, then ceptember, then minember, then artember, then deimober, then hestember, and finally dion. each month either has 36 or 37 days, alternating each month (starting in january at 37 - except in both august and neptonus there are 36 days, then the pattern continues from there). there are no leap days or leap years in my drs
let's go over them one by one though, talking about the god they're named after, which season takes place in said month, and the holidays
january — god: janus "the god of ends and beginnings" — season: winter — holidays: new year's day (1)
february — god: februa "the goddess of purification" — season: winter — holidays: children's day (4)
march — god: mars "the god of war" — season arree — holidays: day of forgiveness (3) [not really celebrated, but it's meant to inspire people the mend bonds, apologize, etc.]
april — god: aphrodite "the goddess of love" — season: arree — holidays: valentine's day (14)
may — god: maia "the goddess of growth" — season: arree — holidays: green day (22) [essentially earth day]
june — god: june "the goddess of womanhood" — season: arree — holidays: women's day (36) [a day to celebrate the women in our lives]
july — god: julius "the god of music" — season: summer — holidays: the week of music (14 - 21) [there are carnivals and festivals all around the world to celebrate music, sound, storytelling, etc.]
august — god: augustus "the god of family" — season: summer — holidays: family day (23)
neptonus — god: neptune "the god of the sea" — season: summer — holidays: father's day (the first sunday of the month)
apollus — god: apollo "the god of light" — season: summer — holidays: blackout day (28) [a day in which it's encouraged to turn off all the lights to appreciate natural sunlight]
ceptember — god: ceres "the goddess of agriculture" — season: autumn — holidays: thanksgiving (the third sunday of the month) [a day to appreciate the food we're provided, the people in our lives, the hard work that was done to get us to where we are, etc.]
minember — god: minerva "the goddess of wisdom" — season: autumn — holidays: mother's day (the first sunday of the month)
artember — god: artemis "the goddess of hunting" — season: autumn — holidays: n/a
deimober — god: deimos "the god of fear" — season: autumn — holidays: halloween (13)
hestember — god: hestia "the goddess of home" — season: winter — holidays: christmas (19 - 30) [it's a long celebration that lasts several days. most people attend parades, festivals, parties throughout the days]
dion — god: dionysus "the god of festivities" — season: winter — holidays: new year's welcome (30 - 36) [a holiday to wrap up the year and prepare ourselves for the upcoming year], new year's eve (37)
now let's talk about the days. firstly, there are 28 hours in a day. there are 8 days in a week. there are 74 weeks per year, with a total of 584 days.
the days of the week are named after the planets (including the sun) and go as follows: sunday (sun), merday (mercury), venday (venus), monday (earth/moon), juday (jupiter), saturday (saturn), uranday (uranus), and neptuday (neptune)
weekends and weekdays aren't really a thing because there isn't the traditional 9-5 workday lifestyle, but if we were to assign them uranday through merday would be the weekend, meaning it's 4 weekend days, and 4 weekdays.
