“The Cardiff Giant was one of the most famous hoaxes in United States history. It was a 10-foot (3.0 m) tall purported “petrified man” uncovered on October 16, 1869, by workers digging a well behind the barn of William C. “Stub” Newell in Cardiff, New York. Both it and an unauthorized copy made by P.T. Barnum are still on display.”

Usually, a Parisian apt., even in an historic building, is bright. But, this one is quite different. It still has the famous chevron parquet floor, the same magnificent wall decor, but the choice in the color scheme suddenly fell to dark shades.
But look at this modern twist. They constructed a small, modern, industrial loft that looks like a catwalk, but it doesn’t lead to anywhere. It’s a nice little workspace.
All of the ornate decoration on the walls is still intact, but painted in a monochromatic deep blue. I like the blue wreath, too.
You can see the catwalk reflected in the huge ornate mirror.
Glossy back doors lead into what doesn’t look like a kitchen at first.
But, it is, indeed a kitchen with very comfy seating. Isn’t this apt. unusual?
Look at the lighting around the mirror in the dressing. The black dressing room.
The bedroom has a dusty rose color and look at the glowing mirror over the bed.
Marble with a gold ceiling in the bath. This apt. certainly is unique.

This gilded reliquary is traditionally believed to contain the skull of Mary Magdalene, preserved and venerated at the Basilica of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume in southern France. The identification rests on a medieval tradition that holds Mary Magdalene fled persecution after the crucifixion and traveled west, eventually settling in Provence, where she lived out her final years.
According to church records, in 1279 relics were discovered beneath the basilica during renovations ordered by Charles II of Anjou. These remains were identified as Mary Magdalene’s based on inscriptions, local legend, and continuity with earlier pilgrimage traditions at the site. The skull was singled out as hers because it matched descriptions passed down through ecclesiastical accounts and was found alongside other relics attributed to her.
