Addis Ethiopian, December 2013
I went to the science museum the other day and there was this weird rotating food piramid there. lol
These are some 35mm b&w photos I took and processed myself in 2011. I was in my intermediate photography class at the time and it was part of a project I was doing. They aren't good photos at all, but I'm glad I took a few because as any Richmonder knows now, there are no more Bill's bbq restaurants. In my opinion it was a Richmond tradition. They had great bbq and limeaids. I ran winter track in high school at the Author Ashe Center across the street from Bill's and I would go there for lunch with my team. It sucked when they all closed down this year. RIP Bill's BBQ.

Richmond's Strange Matter is located on West Grace st. beside Plaza Art. It is the scene where many alternative bands play, the home of Dr. Sketchy's figure drawing, and of course half price burgers on Tuesday nights.

Had some yummy New York pastries when I went up to New York this weekend. delish. This was taken in Europan bakery in Times Square.
Kevin Wilson is the owner of Sticky Rice to go go located on W. Main st. They have many fabulous dishes that not only look good but taste good too. My favorite dishes I tried were the salmon sushi with the slim lemon slice on top (the top picture), the yellow tail was pretty good too, but I also tried their chicken sesame dish with union noodles that was soo yummy. This is a great RVA restaurant and I suggest you stop in if you haven't already!
Big Herm's Kitchen is on N. 2nd street in the Jackson Ward area in RVA. They serve lots of good Southern Food. I tried there chicken sandwich and caramel sweet potato side. It was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. It was big and pretty tasty. The chicken was seasoned well. I found out that they were a catering business before they got a store front restaurant, and they still continue to cater. This was a very tiny hole in the wall restaurant, but good based from what I got to try that day.
Here are some grocery store photos I took over the summer.
