“Thanks, I’ve been thinking about quitting this whole music thing and just brightening people’s days by ordering coffee around them,” he said flatly, not bothering to try to start an actual conversation with her. “What’s wrong with saying that we’ve been running into each other more?” he feigned innocence, though the smirk never left his face. Jaewon shook his head her last comment, knowing that there was no use in denying it. Not that he wanted to anyway. “I never said anything about me, but I’m glad to know that clearly I’m still at the center of your attention.”

“Don’t. As much as I want to slap you across the face sometimes, your music is good. And you’d probably get arrested for stalking,” she added, unable to let a compliment be just that. Narrowing her eyes ever so slightly, she took a deep breath. “You know exactly what’s wrong with it.” What was wrong was that, if she thought about it for too long, she’d have to face the fact that she wasn’t over him. “As if I’m not at the center of yours. There are plenty of other girls, ones you haven’t been exactly....private about, but none of them are me. You’re still here, aren’t you?”

rvlila:

“Aw, thank you,” Lila replied as she smiled at the compliment. “But if I really did that, wouldn’t it be a little weird to say about myself?”

“If you can write it on a resume, you can say it about yourself for your profile. When do people ever ask you to present your own profile, anyway? Someone else usually reads it for you, so you’re not technically saying it about yourself. Whoever’s reading it is.”

Jaewon looked up when he heard the all too familiar voice, not bothering to keep the smug smile from growing across his lips when he saw her. “You mean this clearly isn’t the highlight of your morning?” he asked sarcastically. Jaewon glanced away from her for a moment, knowing that he should watch what he said when it wasn’t just her who would be hearing it. “I thought you were starting to like running into me more often.”

“Ha ha, real funny,” she answered. As much as she hated to admit it, he was right. Even the better part of a year after they broke up, she still wanted him. The fact that they’d seen much more of each other lately wasn’t helping that. “Do you really want to bring that up in public, Jae?” Euna only caught herself too late; she shifted her purse around on her shoulder as a distraction, but she knew he’d notice that she’d let a nickname slip. “And what if I was? You seem to be enjoying yourself just as much.”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” Euna muttered, the previously neutral expression she’d worn turning to something much more like a scowl. “I was having a good morning, you know. Well put together outfit, not much traffic, decent parking.... Did you show up here just to ruin it?”

“It’s kind of a weird feeling being a month, it’s a lot of responsibility..what happens if you ruin an entire month for someone forever?

“There are eleven other months, they’ll get over it.”

“I have only a few months until I debut, which means I have only a few months to get the perfect interview face and personal talents picked out,” Lila said, already with an excited grin on her face. “I don’t wanna set the bar too high for myself, but I will be the best rookie-in-an-interview-with-personal-talents that you have ever seen. Ever.”

“Put down ‘determination’ as one of your personal talents, kiddo. Not only is it true, it’s way more than some idols can say.”

“I’ve seen quite a few people say some terrible things about me and I just find it funny that they judge me, making music and earning more money than they do writing things about what other people do and don’t do because they don’t actually have any real ambition to go and chase what they really want to do. S'sad really, that they don’t got a life to be bothered with.”

“Ever done a photoshoot in your underwear? Comments on those are pretty funny. I used to use them as a drinking game, but after one too many shots and a hell of a hangover the next day, I gave up on that idea. Once you stop giving a shit, it’s a lot more enjoyable.”
