“argue it if you wanna. i still think she’s a brat. i’m entitled to my opinion too, you know,” he said with a smirk, eyeing her. “unlikely. otherwise you wouldn’t be on the lineup.”

“And I’m entitled to ask you to please not mention it to me, right?” She glanced back, hopeful. One of her many fears was making the only other person she’d be debuting with hate her even more than she already seemed to. “I think this is supposed to make me feel better, but it’s not working. Do you think I’m ever gonna feel like I’m ready for this?”

“you know….you can’t take anything ahki says personally,” seokjung muttered. “i….take it from me. she says stuff when she’s mad or upset or scared….and she’s too stubborn to ever apologize so….block her out. honest.”

“She hates me,” Harley replied, shrugging. She’d already accepted that she’d probably never be friends with Ahki. “I know she hates me, you don’t have to try to make me feel better about it. It’s okay, I’d hate me too if I was her.”

“she a fucking brat, and that’s coming from me,” he scoffed. “i don’t care. i’ll probably end up composing and playing instrumentals for groups. as long as i get paid. but you’ve trained, you’re good, so stop bringing yourself down like…fuck. confidence, dude– get some.”

“She’s not a brat, Ilhyeon. Whether or not she likes me, she’s my only groupmate and I don’t want you talking badly about her. The last thing I need is her hearing that I’m okay with my friends calling her a brat when she’s not one,” she sighed. “I do have confidence....dude. I just don’t think I’ve had enough training yet. There are a lot of good trainees who are more ready than I am.”

“i’d rather trade with that brat you’re debuting with. i’ll play for you. you’re good. stop being so ridiculous.”

“She’s not a brat....I just don’t think she likes being in a group with me very much. I- I’m not being ridiculous. I just don’t think I’m ready yet, but you seem like you are. You should be debuting.”
