“i’m sorry. i’m ruining the group,” donny cried melodramatically, groaning and sinking into the couch. despite yanlei having a literal pregnancy scandal, and sam having a public girlfriend, donny was in crisis mode– he genuinely believed he was going to be legacy’s undoing. “i have brought shame and scandal. i might as well be fired.” @rvjaeho​ @rvkisu​ @shinwoorv​

“last time one us went public with their relationship, it was because yanlei knocked up his girlfriend and now they’re getting married and have two kids, i think you’re good, man,” jaeho moved over to make room for donny on the couch. he knew his words sounded dismissive  ––  and probably weren’t the best way to describe their groupmate starting a family  ––  but he also knew that donny was beating himself up over this way more than his best friend needed to be. “besides, even that wasn’t the worst thing we’ve gotten through before, we’re not dealing with scandals from a bug-ridden basement. legacy will be be fine.” jaeho paused, not wanting to push any buttons that could possibly make donny feel worse but also knowing what his thoughts would be if it had been his and andy’s relationship instead. “you and sola are okay though, right?”

“it’s all over– a korean host just complimented me on how good my korean is,” chaeyoung said with a dramatic sigh, biting back her giggles. “i know i’ve been promoting with ankaa a lot, and that i’ve lived in vietnam a long time, but come on! i used to be child star! my name is chaeyoung!”

“try growing up in germany and having people ask why my german was so good, only to move back to korea and have people surprised i speak korean too,” jaeho laughed. “i’m surprised your name didn’t give it away, it’s not like  ‘ chaeyoung ’  is a common name in vietnam.”

“Hyung, you do… tattoos, right?” Sowon addressed the elder when he saw him in the halls at Higher, whispering when mentioning the word tattoos as if he was afraid of being caught saying the word out loud.

jaeho felt himself freeze as soon as he heard sowon’s question. this is somehow worse than when inho asked me if i was in a gang, he thought. but then again, just because he had backed of from actually tattooing regularly didn’t mean it wasn’t easy for anyone at higher to guess he still knew how. “um, i know people that can give you a tattoo, if that’s what you mean.”

“you wouldn’t happen to need any help, would you?” chunja asked with a little wince. “i’m done all my assignments for the day, and if my boss sees me standing around doing nothing, he’ll send me home early and i….well, to be honest, there’s a really cute hoodie i saw at the mall that i want, and i want my full pay….” @falseprvphet​ @rvdaul​ @srvnyi​ @rvjaeho​ @rvjenifer​

“i mean, i need help getting my grandmother in her late eighties to answer her phone, but i’m pretty sure she’d just hanging out with her chuch-lady friends right now,” jaeho, with only the slight lift in his voice to help show that was supposed to be a joke for an answer. he paused, not knowing if he should say its fine or if chunja really did want more things to do before her boss noticed she was done for the day.

“i was just gonna mark the floor for the next subunit dance practice video,” he gestured with the orange roll of tape with one hand instead of the phone he had in the other, “do you wanna help with that? if you just want to stand in the middle of the mirrors i can put the tape down on the other side of the room.”

“you know, sometimes my job is a real fucking pain in the ass,” taehyung grumbled, scrubbing his face with his hands. “with all the new vocal trends these days, i’m forced to add so many filters and shit when i’m mixing, and it sounds disgusting more times than not. but it’s my job to comply so i can’t even do anything about it.”

“would wrapping pretty much all your exposed skin in bandages just to stand on a music show stage make you feel any better?” jaeho laughed dryly, before shrugging. he loved music, but really had never had any interest in the details of producing it, “i’m surprised songs that sound that similar don’t actually have the same cookie-cutter of editing to them, i doubt many people would really notice a difference anyway.”

“are you sure you want a tattoo on your ass, dude?” he repeated incredulously, though he knew he shouldn’t actually be surprised with donny. “what would you even want?”

“i mean, you can just take it. it’s just a t-shirt, dude, you don’t have to borrow it,” jaeho went to grab one his older shirts, reaching over and handing it to kisu, “i bet it’s a little small on me now, i dunno if it’ll fit you. unless that’s the point.”

“so are we gonna have to do a bunch of extra promotions for the ten year anniversary or are we pretending that’s next year?” jaeho asked, but he wasn’t actually complaining. he mostly just wanted to start thinking out how much time he should spend visiting his grandparents. “are we just gonna have to relive the first year over again?”

“how long do i need to be an idol for before i can get a full sleeve tattoo,” xifeng mused aloud. “like, i don’t even know if i want one yet. but i just want to know…”

“i’m sure you could’ve debuted with one at this point if you wanted to,” jaeho glanced down at his own tattoos that were visible with his t-shirt. “i finished my first sleeve pretty quickly once i started filling in the rest of my arm, and i think i was in denial about leaving empty space on the other once i had a half sleeve but i ended up finishing that one too.” he shrugged, “people don’t act like it’s such a problem as they used to, but it probably helps that i can cover all mine with long sleeves, and pants.”

“I came across a couple of photos of myself when I was cleaning earlier from when I first arrived in Seoul. I actually don’t think I’ve seen someone try so hard to look like a badass as I did then as a teenager–it’s no wonder I got turned down all those times at auditions,” Ohkyung said with a dry chuckle.

“if it makes you feel any better, when legacy first debuted it looked like we all were forced to get dressed in the dark.”
