“yeah, well, i’m in the pure unit, remember? only skater skirts and blouses with ties from me,” she whined, pouting and laying her head on his shoulder as she straddled his lap. she loved terra, but she missed being able to experiment with her style more. “how kind of you to be so open with absolutely no ulterior motives,” she giggled. “i guess i should get this sweater off then, shouldn’t i? i seem to be breaking dress code.”

“lotsa fun things you can do with ties, though...” kisu pointed out, whispering in her ear as he held her. “and skater skirts are flattering on you. they sit on your ass nicely. really, i don’t know why you’re complaining....” she could be wearing a potato sack, though, and he’d probably still find her sexy. he was more whipped than he cared to admit. “listen, i just want you to be comfortable. it’s kinda warm in my place tonight, you know? don’t want you to get heat stroke...”

“well, they all have different fire rates and recoil patterns and damage. and different skill ceilings too. i think having variety makes the game more interesting– especially for a battle royale! keeps things fresh! and learning to be good with every gun is a great challenge,” she explained. “they’re different shapes, though, and drop next to their ammo type. and if you hover over them, they’ll say what gun they are…” she smiled. “kind of! do you know warzone? it’s like that– a battle royale. but with better movement and more diversity, i’d say.”

“oh yeah, i like warzone! i can’t play it a ton though because i get kinda bored,” he admitted. “listen, i bet you get people wanting to play with you all the time cuz your pro, but this game sounds cool. do you want to teach me how to play? you could stream it and i could get the legacy sms teams to promote it and shit...”

“oh god, yeah, there’s like…almost thirty guns!” she laughed, nodding. “broken….like…it’s really easy to beam people with it without much skill involved. so good if you’re the one using it, bad if you’re on the receiving end,” she explained. “the game is apex legends! i play on siren’s new pro team– i’d totally recommend trying it, but i’m biased. it is free, though, so what do you have to lose?”

“why the fuck would something need thirty guns? are there even thirty different things guns can do? how do you tell them apart?” kisu scoffed. “i guess that’s a cool video, though. exploiting it to see just how busted it is.... i...i’ve never heard of that game, though. is it like COD?”

“is it weird having your girlfriend be a rookie?” hanse asked. “i mean… i guess donny’s is too, but she’s been training for years. i feel like it would be weird.” @rvkisu​

“i mean, she’s our age,” he answered, shrugging. he’d had to defend himself a few times now. “and i knew her before she was even in korea. i was in her dms years ago, when she was still an ulzzang in china. if i was dating someone from like.....byulbit or something, that’d be different too, but even here, she’s been debuted for like three years. it’s whatever.”

“oppa!” she whined, frowning. “i’m serious! i wasn’t jealous about the girls in the music video. honestly, i was mostly just jealous i couldn’t be one of them…” she told him with a little pout. “when can i wear a fit like that in public, huh? in my group? i’m bitter.” @rvkisu​

“oh, come on baby,” kisu whined back, letting his hands rest on her hips as he tried to get her to look at him. “you know that if your company would allow it in any fuckin way, you’d’ve been in my lap that whole video.” he smiled. “i don’t know about in public, but you’re free to wear that around here as much as you want. i encouraged it, actually. or if you decided you didn’t want to wear anything, i’d be fine with that too. i’m super accommodating.”

“well, there’s a gun in this game called the hemlok. everyone’s always talking about how broken it is, so i wanted to test that. basically it’s a video about seeing just how broken the hemlok is,” she explained excitedly. “thank you! that’s super useful to me!”

“broken how? like in a good way, or a bad way? there are different guns?” kisu asked, essentially rapid fire. “honestly, i used to play a lot more video games than i do. should i check this game out? also what is this game?”

he bit his tongue, sighing. he wasn’t the type to like to fight– honest! he just didn’t like kisu, and wanted any sort of proof to back up that hatred. he just wanted a reason to keep this guy in his bad books. and kisu wasn’t giving him that. it was frustrating.

“just the script. you can bring that yourself, though– none of your 30 personal assistants need to be there to hold it for you on a silver platter.”

“yeah, i got it. i’m literally holding it,” kisu assured him, rubbing his arm awkwardly. “i don’t know what you mean about personal assistant, though? i have a make up artist here and my manager. that’s it. neither of them have time to be holding up scripts.”

“i mean, you can just take it. it’s just a t-shirt, dude, you don’t have to borrow it,” jaeho went to grab one his older shirts, reaching over and handing it to kisu, “i bet it’s a little small on me now, i dunno if it’ll fit you. unless that’s the point.”

“that’s absolutely the point,” kisu answered seriously. “i am going for a look, and that look is that i’m about to bust out of my shirt. that’s why i’m asking-- if it’s a shirt  you care about, i don’t wanna rip it...”

“kisu, you’re offering something that i already essentially do,” daiyu pointed out, shifting so she was resting on his chest, leg hooked around his hips. “am i not here most nights when i’m not promoting with my group, and when you’re not promoting with yours? i swear, you’re ridiculous.”

“then humor me! maybe i’m just insecure and wanna make sure it keeps up,” he answered, fingers tapping gently on her hip. “only ridiculous when you come to you. i just like having you here too much, i guess.”

he did his best to avoid legacy. it was nothing to do with the group itself– he actually really liked their songs. it was kisu– his relationship with daiyu rubbed wes the wrong way, and no matter how he tried to rationalize it and listen to daiyu, he still couldn’t help but kind of resent kisu. he just didn’t trust him. but he couldn’t avoid him forever, clearly. and with rosamie set to special mc alongside him, their paths crossed. the usually jovial and mild mannered man was doing his best to keep his composure.

“the director wants you and rosie on set in five,” wes said curtly to the idol, arms crossed over his chest. “they want you to run through the scripts once before you go live. unless you’re above that?” // @rvkisu​

legacy all kind of had their things at this point, beyond being idols. yanlei was a dad. donny was an actor. jaeho did tattoos. shinwoo was a grumpy pain in the ass. and kisu like to do variety-- he did a lot of guest spots as mc. this wasn’t anything different.

or it was. it wasn’t different in format. it was different because wes was on his ass. 

he got why wes hated him, he really did. but he just wished his actions spoke louder than any dumb preconceptions the manager had. truly, if he was gonna fuck up, he would have by now. 

“i’ll be there in five, then,” kisu answered with a tiny nod, trying not to react too much to how wes said what he did. “do i need to bring anything besides the script?”

“please– you’re just perpetually horny and want more access,” daiyu answered, taking a moment to stretch her arms out. “isn’t dorming with your group in the first few years crucial for development and bonding and chemistry? it would be weird being the only member who isn’t close to the others. people would pick up on that. that’s how bullying rumors start.”

“yeah, okay? and? those things can be true, and the other things can also be true too. it’s not mutually exclusive,” he answered, catching her hand in his. “okay, then live here part time. live there for promotions and like weekends, and then come back here to me the rest of the time. win win.”

“listen, i totally get having to stay at the terra dorm when you’re promoting and stuff, but i don’t see why you don’t just move in with me the rest of the time,” kisu said bluntly, resting his head back on his headboard. “you’re here all the time anyway. and there’s a lot more space. and a lot more privacy......” || @rvdestiny​

despite now being a pro gamer, hyeja still kept up her twitch channel and her youtube. they were what got her where she was now– was she supposed to give them up? not a chance. she spent so much time and care on them, and she knew she could find time to keep doing that. “okay, so if you were just randomly scrolling through youtube, which one of these thumbnails would you be more likely to click on?” hyeja asked, running up to someone and holding up her tablet. “this is very important market research.”

“oh shit, what’s the video gonna be about?” kisu asked excitedly, looking over the thumbnails. “that second one, in the middle? looks great. like the others are fine too, but that one really stands out to me.”

“oh yeah, i saw him with that fucking….weird nude colored sticker on his neck. ridiculous,” she scoffed. raising her eyebrow, she replied, “oh yeah? what do you have to teach me, then?”

“i? dont know? just like...basic ass things you can say to get attention off you or make mcs happy? variety is pretty boring and basic once you break it down,” kisu answered

“real talk, do normal idols get like…training on how to not have an out-of-body experience every time they’re on some sort of variety? because it’s been five years, and i still feel like i don’t know what the fuck i’m doing. also covering my tattoos is such a pain in the ass, but that’s besides the point.”

“you and shinwoo need to talk. i feel like you’d have a lot to commiserate over on that tattoo point,” kisu laughed. “we got some media training back at our old company, but it honestly mostly comes with practice. i could probably give you some tips if you want them-- i’m pretty good at variety.”

Aidan could read the room. She could see the tension building up in the guy in front of her and that her choice in words and tone were the reason for that. Aidan bit her lip, shuffling her feet awkwardly. “Well, thanks for the advice, I guess,” she muttered with a small huff. “It’s nerves.” Half of that was true, but this guy didn’t need to know too much.

“hey, i get it. i still get nervous before i have to go onstage sometimes. just uh..... try to make sure the nerves don’t come out so caustic in the future, yeah?” kisu offered with a laugh. “i’m pretty chill, but other people’ll get real pissed with you.”
