“oh...i think girlfriend is the right word. i don’t know-- we haven’t really talked about it,” yue admitted, cheeks bright red. “i was coming to look for him, actually! i got a day off, and wanted to see if he was free... do you know where he is?”

“i’ve never seen so many people in my life,” yue whispered in awe. she’d been an idol for more than a decade now, between byulbit and compass, and never for a second did she imagine something like this. “what does stage fright feel like? because i might be getting it...”

“honestly….. i think we all need to be a certain degree of stupid to have put up with the vega vs antares shit predebut for as long as we did.”
“oh jesus, don’t remind me. i was caught right in the middle,” she said, rubbing her temples. being half chinese and half japanese had proven to be an absolute nightmare during that war. “i don’t think izumi will ever forgive me for turning my back on compass but like.... i never did ?”

“that makes sense. you’d think that because there’s more separation everywhere, she’d mellow out but…. god…. i don’t want to be negative but she’s so hard to be around,” chaemi admitted softly. “well…if you ever need a break…. there’s room in our unit. dylan and isis are visiting home for the month.”
“i’m hoping that as vega get’s busier, she gets... more tired and less like that,’ yue admitted, exhausted. “i might take you up on that. even if it’s just for a few days. i can pretend like it’s a vacation.”

“was it this bad when you were in your first group with her?” chaemi asked curiously, tugging on her pigtail. “at least you’re in the mandarin unit too, right? that’s gotta be some time you can escape…”
“no, but she had more control back then. and we were a lot younger,” yue pointed out. “she was kind of the queen of the group and was treated as such, so there was no real need for her to act out, you know? but yeah... mandarin unit is nice... even though i still have to live with her...”

“the implication that we all hit the low-iq requirement is offensive. and completely accurate.”
“you can make a rebuttle, but i think most of us are dumbasses and i stand by that assertion.”

“so basically what you’re saying is, every single new age artist is a himbo.”
“well, most of us. not everyone. some people aren’t buff enough. and a lot aren’t nice,” yue pointed out

“oh, yue, she’s awful,” chaemi cried out, giving in. “i tried to ask to hang out with her so we would have some sort of rapport when we debut, and she told me that she had no interest in getting to know me and that she was a good enough actor to fake it. who says that?”
“i know,” yue asked with a big sigh. “i’ve worked so hard to debut again, and being an idol is my dream. but people like her make the rush of it all finally happening feel so much less special. and this is the second group i’ve been in with her too. it hurts.”
“you know, i’ve waited years for spotlight to debut another boy group with me in it, but i’m kind of dreading it now,” eunsung admitted. “creed’s schedules are so crammed full of stuff, and i’ve seen how busy sola’s gotten. i don’t think i can handle that.”
“do you want to join byulbit too? you know. just to put the extra cherry on top.”

“yeah. spotlight’s thing is polish. liberty’s is bands. and ours is being fucking confused.”
“there are two braincells at new age, and none of the artists have access to either of them.”
