———— BYI ————
I have autism so I struggle with tone a LOT.
I am a chronic yapper (especially about my special interests).
I have memory problems and will constantly forget things. Please be patient with me if I repeat myself or forget something you said!
I am very uncomfortable with people saying slurs around me. Please don’t use them when talking with me!
It’s all shits and giggles being mentally ill and liking Good Mythical Morning until it’s all you can think about, it’s the only thing that calms down the voices in your head, and it’s the only thing you can sleep to…
Like why are these two middle aged white men controlling every aspect of my life 😔

It’s a very small community, but everyone is really nice! Doesn’t matter if you are a new Mythical Beast or if you have been watching since 2012, everyone is welcome!
Just saw the backrooms! Here are my thoughts. A spoiler free version, and a part that contains spoilers below the “keep reading” page break in case some people want spoilers!
SPOILER-FREE THOUGHTS:
The movie definitely met my expectations. The pacing feels even throughout the entire film. It was definitely scary and quite traumatic too! It definitely kept me on my toes and maintained my attention the whole time! The plot is also constructed beautifully
SPOILERS BELOW:
First, the movie definitely has some “wtf” moments.
The main “wtf” moment is essentially the entire climax. Clark kidnaps Mary and basically tortures her for thinking he is insane. He ties her to a chair, stabs a creature in front of her and tries to make her eat its guts, and even scalps one of them and makes her wear its hair as a wig. He then forces her to do that same roleplay they did about his ex wife near the start of the film. This causes Mary to snap and yell at him before begging for her freedom. Clark unties her and the entity of the movie finds them, Cap’n Clark, the stores mascot. Clark tries to tell Cap’n that “it’s okay because this is where they belong..” before Cap’n picks him up and bites down on his shoulder, killing him before throwing his corpse against a wall.
This whole scene sequence had my jaw to the floor, while wincing in fear as I looked to my sister like “WHAT THE FUCK”?!
Second, the film also constantly makes you second guess yourself. You think the characters are safe until they aren’t or vice versa. One example of this is Mary fleeing from Cap’n. Every time you think she is finally safe until it keeps getting closer to her.
Overall, this film definitely knows how to make you uncomfortable. Just be cautious if you are squeamish like me because it has INTENSE body horror and blood. The sounds that are made can be nauseating so be weary! Otherwise, if you can make it through that, definitely watch it at least once.
Since more and more people are being introduced to the website, I thought I might as well make a post about the general behind the scenes stuff.
This is my way of dissecting my brain for you all so you can pick at it, learn how stuff works, and more! (I may end up making a more fleshed out post later).
Firstly, why does Mythicade even exist?: Back in March of this year, I had a shower thought: “What if I made a GMM based Wordle?” Custom wordles are quite popular and it was a good outlet for me to nerd out about GMM. Soon, Mythicle was born. However, I soon wondered if I could extend this to other game formats. And thus, Mythicle evolved into Mythicade, the Mythical Beast Arcade website.
Second, who all works on Mythicade?: Mythicade, contrary to popular belief, does NOT have a programming team. All of the code, layout, functionality is done by me! Some assets for games such as Food Darts and Mythical Tiles, however, are done by my friends! (You can read this on the mythicade about page). Otherwise, everything else is done by yours truly!
Third, why keep going?: Because Mythicade, at its core, is just a way for me to exercise my adoration for GMM. I’m not doing it for the views, the clicks, or the fame. I’m doing it simply because I love Rhett and Link’s content and this is a healthy outlet for me to express that. Everything I do for this project is out of love and care for their content and their community.
A note from me: Honestly, I have been beyond blessed with the reception that Mythicade has been getting. The website continues to grow because fellow Mythical Beasts have been sharing this website with their friends and loved ones. Not only that, but people have been using Mythicade as a reference for projects and as an inspiration for programming. That is something I honestly never fathomed would happen when making this website. To know that me, a nerdy 18 year old who is just doing something they love, could be a role model and be inspiring is beyond me.
Just know that I am incredibly grateful for all of the positivity and love regarding Mythicade. What started as a simple passion project has grown into something way larger than I ever could have imagined. Thank you so much for everything and keep being your mythical best!
SURPRISE!! @acryousse is now the head artist of Mythicade!! 🎉
Mythicade has grown so much larger than I ever anticipated, and as a Solo Developer, I knew I needed to enlist some help because doing all the coding AND art would exhaust me fast. So Acryousse generously stepped up to help me!
From now on, a majority of the art on Mythicade will be handled by them (with a few exceptions such as the collectible avatars).
Please ensure to show them some love and check out their content if you haven’t as they are a VERY talented artist.
