Pupils dilate and shrink as his glare only continues to grow,
becoming absolutely livid with untamed and escalating fury.
His feathers rise, and yet he refuses the temptation to move
into a fighting stance as much as he is willing to send another
flurry of fallen leaves and rubble towards the snow leopard.
Patience. He needed to be patient and wait
for the opportune moment to leave but his
beak is saying otherwise.
❝ Fooled you? Fooled you?!
—- You fooled me! ❞
He snapped, standing his ground. Again, his resentment
only persisted in growing with the accusations, some of
which were true but not all.
❝ Who was the one that tried to be your friend?
Who was the one who talked back to you when
you had little to no respect for others?
Who was it that begged you to come back home when
you chose to rampage through the Valley of Peace?!
—- I never ran from you in the beginning.
There’s a difference between running and dodging.
You don’t know what I went through when you were
sent to prison, Tai Lung.
You don’t know what you did to me. ❞
His words were ice, like knives, and anything sharp that one
could think of. He knew that the leopard was going through
the trials and errors of his past but Crane could not and would
not stand to be treated as if he was a coward. Because he isn’t.
