↖ is now accepting curious anons.
Not often that she dealt with humans in a fashion that was remotely friendly, but she was feeling generous tonight. Particularly since this one didn’t seem the cowering and sniveling type, a nice break from what she was used to. “First time I’ve been called a life saver,” she mused quietly, but took the seat none-the-less.
“Been some time since I’ve had a reason to actually drink this, though. A few bottles here and there as… gifts, but no reason to actually use them.” The least useful of them, but it’s not as if she couldn’t taste the burning and the flavors themselves, so it wasn’t a complete loss.
“Keep bringing the goodies and you’ll be the life saver all the time.” She looked to the bottle as she spoke. “Well? Open it up. You don’t need occasions to drink something this good. If you feel crappy, what better way to make yourself feel better about life than getting into something this good?”
“Ah… He was never very light on the insults. That sounds like him.” He could think of plenty of times the man had insulted Chiaotzu or himself when frustrated or irritated. He wouldn’t put it past him to insult someone like Launch.
He stopped at her next words, letting out a little breath and finally taking her off his shoulder and setting her safely on the ground.
“I… Am proud of myself, too.” Sometimes he’d feel bad for all the things he’d done, but… Maybe he’d made up for all those things. He tried to live an honest and good life after all of what happened with Master Shen, and he couldn’t say he was upset with how his life had turned out.
“I should have decked him then and there!” She groaned. Man how that pissed her off and Tien would have almost been the same way if he continued to train under that bastard. Thank Kami he learned his lesson when he did. “Hm?” Finally being put down, she patted her clothing down to keep it from wrinkling.
“Well, I would hope you’d be proud of yourself. I’d smack you across that big head of yours if you weren’t.” She put her hands on her hips. You can be such an idiot sometimes, you know that?” She brought her hand up and flicked his nose. “Why the hell did you think becoming an assassin was the best choice for you back then? You clearly have too much of a kind heart to do anything that dumb and that’s coming from me!”
“There should be a clothing store just around the corner, I’ll take you there. I only ask that you don’t go overboard. Buy one outfit for yourself.” He had enough horror stories from Yamcha’s years of dating Bulma to know how women could get in clothing shops. While he could afford to give her new clothes and a fresh meal, he wasn’t exactly perky at the idea of dropping huge amounts of money on huge amounts of clothing.
He glanced down at her, moving the umbrella to try and make sure it covered her more than it did him. “Are we clear on that?”
“I won’t go overboard. If I want more than I’ll just go back later when they’re not lookin’.” She huffed as she held the jacket close, yet the heat radiating from his body was doing more than the jacket would. Seeing his glance, she closed her eyes an turned her head. “Yeah, yeah I got it, I got it! Can we just go before I catch a cold or something?”
She then pushed his hand with the umbrella closer to him. “And you shouldn’t get a cold either. Idiot. Think about yourself every once in a while too.”
“Not exactly a common thing around here, but you’re in luck.” She might, just might be gently shaking a particularly nice bottle of 100 proof in a hand.
“I only get the best.” Not that it really does much to her, nor does she need it, but that’s totally not the point.
Seeing the bottle in the other blondes hand, she sat silently before pointing to the spot next to her. “You. Sit. We are going to become friends. You’re my life saver.” She nodded.
Of course, she’d be in it mostly for the liquor--but it would be nice to get someone else who sort of had the same taste in her around anyway.
She seemed pretty lost in thought, and all the while Roshi began making his way to the couch instead to at least watch some more of those exercise videos, only to have her speak to him again.
“Listen here! Master Roshi, I ain’t no mister!” She’d stripped him of his pride, and now she was stripping him of his title? Bah! “Make whatever you please, just refer to me correctly!”
Launch gaped as he spoke. Had she upset him? “Oh no..” She frowned and began to bow. “I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to be any trouble!” She felt terrible for calling him the wrong name. “Oh, please Master Roshi..I’ll make what ever you want, you name it! Okay? It’s the least I can do..”
“It’s, uh… It’s alright.” To be honest, he wasn’t paying too much attention. Their techniques were awful, the actors clearly didn’t know what they were doing. Maybe some time he should branch into the Kung Fu movie business, at least as a stunt double…
“Hmn?” He glanced down at the mug, realizing there was whip in it. This thing actually looked really tasty. He nodded his head, taking a sip to confirm that it was indeed completely delicious. Dang. It was always worth it to have her food, especially at the end of a long day of training.
“Ah, in all honesty, I’m not sure what it’s about.”
Watching the few scenes, she raised a brow. Seeing the real thing was better anyway. Not that movies were bad. Just easy to spot out fakery. She took a sip of her hot chocolate and eating bits of marshmallow that came along with it.
“But you’ve been watching it for a little while now. You should have some clue, right?” he concentrated on the screen, tilting her head. “It just seems to be fight after fight. Do they not get tired?” She took another sip, whipped creamed getting on the tip of her nose. A laugh left her lips as she tried to use her tongue to get it, of course being unsuccessful and ended up using her finger. “Can I ask you something?” She turned to him. “Why do you like to fight?”
“I could really use some whiskey right now.”
This girl got on his nerves sometimes! How dare she! He was the great Muten Roshi, not just some ‘old man.’ Hnk– The slap on the back was enough to add an extra layer of insult, and he could hear Turtle snickering at how much he had to rely on that damn staff to not fall straight over.
“Hrmph… Hrnk… Hrnn… Dinner, dinner, yeah… Sure…”
“Oh great!” She clasped her hands together. “Now, what to cook up? Hm..” She placed a finger under her chin in thought. “Maybe some roast beef? Or pasta?” What was there in the kitchen anyway? She glanced to the elder. “What do you think, Mister Roshi?”
As soon as he heard the sneeze, his head snapped over to her direction with wide eyes. Oh, no, oh no no no no–
But… She sneezed again, nearly immediately. Thank god. Oh, man. That could have been really, really, really bad. He let out a sigh of relief, still watching for a moment before turning his attention back to the movie.
“Phew.” He smiled sheepishly when she came over and handed the mug over, taking it gratefully.
“Heh, thanks.” Man, just so long as she didn’t end up sneezing again. He was still terrified of that version of her. He gulped at the idea, trying to focus instead on the movie.
Once he took the mug, she went around the sofa and sat beside him, watching the movie. “How is it?” She glanced over and tilted her head. He sure seemed happy, with the small smile he gave.
He must really like it. She smiled and gave a soft laugh. “I hope you don’t mind the added whip! I thought it would help it cool down a bit. I don’t want you to burn yourself!” She looked back to the movie. “So, what exactly is this all about? Besides the fighting and all..”
Probably just because they were terrified she’d kick their butts any moment now. But as long as she didn’t sneeze, he was safe, right?
“That’s a sad thing to hear, baby, you deserve to be touched! Maybe a puff-puff for good measure–”
“I do?” She gave a soft smile. “Though, I’d like to be touched someone I like..not an old man. Silly!” She brought her hand up and gave him a slap on the back, laughing a bit. “How about instead of this puff-puff thing, I make you some dinner! What would you like?”
i kiiiinda wanna make a dragon ball rp chat room on chatzy..just so everyone can join? and like..be crack heads. anyone in?
“Rise and Shine!”
A groan left her lips. “Five more minutes...” The blonde tossed and turned. No use sleeping now. “Great..” She opened one eye to see him walk in, causing her to sit on. Of course she wouldn’t take the covers off, one they were warm, and the two--well, she liked to sleep with no pants on. Anyway--she stretched her arms up and let out a yawn.
Her hair was a mess, she must have been out cold. “What are you doing in here?” She mumbled before seeing the plate of food in his hands. It was a bit surprising to say the least. “You made me..breakfast?” She raised a brow and looked between him and the food. “You didn’t have to. I’m completely capable of making my own food.” She paused, and flattened her blanket a bit. “But I won’t let it go to waste.”
