“Yes. It’s even a wonder you feel such a question is needed in the first place.” a thin brow arched, framing the look of deep scrutiny in her eyes. True, Tine would be a charmer, a poet even at times, but when it all came down to these cliches Adrianna would basically call him out on his bullshit.

“How long have you been around? A few millennia, if i recall correctly? Tell me you have not seen two idiots doing the same bloody mistake in two different life spans and i’d promptly dissemble your puny fib.” by this time she’s barely even bothering to look at him, her hand waving his opinions off as if it was flies buzzing over an appetizing dessert.

“Two world wars, Sir Tine, with a third one knocking on the door. And several holy ones when earthlings barely crawled out of the mud. Plague or cancer, its the same fashion but different rags. Oh, and Sweet Hell, don’t even let me get started on the temperament of their kind. The only thing their increased life span brought was more time to act the same moronic role to eachother.”

“But tell me, where exactly have you seen the habit being broken? I’m dying to know…”

“Hm, such noble aspirations…” a thoughtful remark as thin fingers bring the cigarette back to her lips to take a slow drag. It’s windy tonight, the smoke doesn’t even have a proper chance to linger around her form once it’s exhaled with a prolonged sigh.

“…Honestly it occurred to me too, once or twice, the importance of the need to be important in the eyes of others. But i would’ve never truly suspected it can manifest itself in such unpleasant ways. Bothersome even. It’s rather hard to see the nobility of it once it becomes a pressing issue..” a dismissive wave of her hand as she passed on voicing more of that thought.

“I’d vouch for striving to becoming important only for yourself, detached from the reigns of people surrounding you. Feels like a more comfortable dream.”

She often aimed to have little to no expectations from people and opportunities and even then she’d be so awfully disappointed. Take this business conference for example; she’d dragged Bandit with her under the pretext of having a bouncer just so he wouldn’t have to adhere to the full dress code, with the promise of a free bar and buffet. All just so she’d have someone to engage in a half intelligent conversation with until formalities would be over, in a couple of hours. But quite frankly the whole atmosphere quickly turned so beyond pathetic and lame, the whole effort did not seem justified anymore.

When the wolf announced his intentions, she only grabbed his sleeve before he’d leave for the bar, shooting him a sour, utterly ‘done-with-it’ gaze.

“Bring the whole damn bottle with you. And should anyone object to this intention… Actually i don’t care, just punch them or something.”

Even the most relaxed mind out there could’ve immediately picked up on the sudden burst of ire and plain confusion when green eyes locked upon the woman. Just how in the name of all 9 circles of Hell did she manage to intersect with her of all?! Was this part the divine punishment the Fallen must endure for deciding to switch pubs this evening?

Well, apparently yes, because Morgan has already settled herself at her table. A moment later her green gaze scanned the fortuneteller up and down. The scrutiny was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

“…I don’t remember ordering a hooker.” did she say that before? She had a feeling Morgan must’ve circumstantially forced her to say that before.
