The word “Morality” makes me understand about life. Morality makes us human. Human makes technology. Technology doesn’t define as morality. Technology makes life easier but it will not consider the effect of physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects. If we make technology, we must consider if the technology gives morality to the people and will not absorb the technology itself. Once the technology will be used, the attention will be divert to it and makes people unresponsive. The time will be limited and some responsible thing will not be done and makes the human lack of discipline. We should limit our time in using technology which can’t be use in our main goal, in order to preserve the morality.
This is the 2nd week of our BMC, new ideas and new plans. Last week, we made a BMC about the online printing. We thought that it was the main issue of individuals but it was only our problem. We decided to make new plans because online printing is not the main issue based on our validation. We planned to conduct survey about some problems of individual. The next thing we did was, we interviewed students about their problems. We picked randomly in different areas like in the gymnasium and department buildings. We interviewed five students and the question we asked were: what are their problems now and they experience, why they experience it, how can they manage it, and will they buy product to ease their problems. The first we interview is a grade 11 student. She said that she has a lack of time management in her studies. She is addicted to other stuff and she said that she wants to minimize it in order to focus in her studies. The second we interviewed is a 4th year SPED. She said that she wants to save money, the internet service is too slow, the instructor that didn’t know how to manage their time and lack of communications to a person who has disability. The third we interviewed is a 3rd year FCT. She said that she wants to save money and do part time job and she needs to manage her time and focus to her studies in order to pass the 70% passing rate. The fourth we interviewed is a 4th year BST. She said that she has a financial problem and can’t earn money because she is very busy. She said also that the university is “ dali ra magbaha ug gakatrauma na ang students kung mag-ulan”. The last we interviewed is a 1st year BSIT. He said that the traffic aide is “ makasamot sa traffic” and the traffic light is not coordinating the traffic especially in the area of Carmen and Cogon “kung asa muagi ang jeep”. We also interviewed three people outside the campus. We interviewed a police officer, a missionary and a teacher. The police officer said that his main problem is the traffic. The problem that the missionary sees is the lack of discipline because of the technology. He said that the technology is the main problem of this society because it changes the morality. And the teacher observed to her students that they have lack of education because of the lack of guidance of the parents and her opinion is that the student doesn’t know how to manage their time and the technology must limit their attention. All of the interviewee is willing to buy product to ease their problems and the missionary is willing to promote our product if we can make one.
We decided to make a plan to solve these problems. Our team discussed on how to solve these problems. We found out that the main root of these problems is the lack of time management of individuals. Time management is part of discipline and discipline requires good moral. Time must be controlled in order to do our responsibility. Time is important in terms of education. Students seek more time to study in order to pass the subject. Some of us make schedules to finish their work on time. Time is also important in traveling. People travel early to make sure they will not be late in their appointments. The key here is to make track of the time to manage things. The next thing we will do is to create a time management using the technology. We are planning to create a device that tracks down the responsibility like wrist watch that can easily see. This wrist watch records all of your daily plan and appointments. It will vibrate or alarm if you set an appointment to that time. It records all your responsibilities in this kind of device and makes you ahead of time.
