Inspired by recent posts about the Scions being a group of Sharlayan PHDs I have another #WoLQotD for you all!

How educated is your Warrior of Light? Did they learn reading, writing, did they or will they apply for an Archon title? Do they even know Eorzean? Or are they purely getting by on the Echo granting them understanding of spoken languages?

#ryss has no formal education #she grew up in rural la nocea #her parents didnt know thier letter and nither did she #she was okay with number tho #all her knowlage was based around animal husbandry and trade skills like #weaving carpentry and cooking #it wasnt until the echo manifested did she sudenly realize that she could understand written words #tho she couldnt point a word and tell you what it was or even spell it #she started devouring books and magazines #anything she could find #untill she borrowed a book of poetry from Thancred #and when talking with him later about it realized that while she understood them meaning and emotion of a given poem #the exsact wording was lost #she coukd read the inent but not the actual words #after that little mind fuck she asked the scions to help her learn her letters properly #ryss lore

Ryss is absolutely the type who puts up the Starlight Tree the moment it rolls into the Sixth Umbral Moon.
