the deal: rythian is Convinced that there are aliens and cryptids out there… somewhere… and is devoted to searching for them. while lalna tends to stick to science, but finding scientific explanations for all the weird shit they find is a hard-ass job. this duo can delve into the Y files (yogscast files) and find all the coverups and conspiracies… together!!

this is very casual fanart of it, other characters appear in this AU!! stay tuned.

on that note earlier i had a thought about rythna where ryth wore black lipstick like the goth he is and lal was wearing pink lip stain (like…. lipgloss but more like lipstick. idk about cosmetics adsdafs)

anyway they make out n then go do what they do and xeph is like “lal is that an oil stain?” and lal is like …. yes?

and then elsewhere but not too far, zo asks ryth if he was eating strawberries because there’s this pink stain— and ryth clasps his hands over it and tries to come up with an alibi for the half hour he and lal spent making out when they should have been working

me and @sjipsco listened to a lot of yogs themes recently and discovered that in bl@ckrock chronicles, lalna and his castle have no theme of their own, whereas pretty much every other character and location has their own theme, even minor characters. and lalna seems like a pretty important character to me ;3c

i also noticed that in the episode The Scientist, when ryth visits lalna’s castle, you’d think that’d be the perfect time to use his theme if he had one right??? but no. ryth uses HIS OWN theme, “darkness is coming”.

this seems like it must have been intentional considering how important the music is thematically in that series and how joakim wouldn’t meticulously give every other character and location its own theme and then just randomly skip over lalna, who is arguably the Main Antagonist for part of it

in fact lalna’s castle does have its own theme, but it’s the theme used for ZOEY’S visit, implying that zoey has an inherently different relationship with lalna than rythi@n does

But What Does This Mean, Sharkprncess!? you cry. well children, it means that they’re Gay
