dude I love your art and your such an inspiration for me, just love how none of your drawings have same face syndrome!!! Also I have 2 questions: 1. Have you ever drawn Japan? 2. When shading, do you go darker shades first or lighter shades first, just wanna know cuz I struggle with shading lol :p

1. I've tried to draw him several times, but I always end up leaving it at the sketch stage. One day I'll definitely finish it...

2. I start with a greyscale image, then apply filters or use a gradient map. Sometimes I add extra bright highlights with an overlay, but that's pretty rare. More often, I find the right colours and then desaturate them slightly with a filter so I usually add dark shading later 🫶

One thing I haven't mentioned in my last ask is how much I adore how you draw clothes, I really like the look your art has when you draw the face with a thinner and the clothes with a thicker brush. The shading also does a lot!!!

You mentioned that recently you've been having a thing for classical composers, what do you think of Erik Satie?

For me, Erik Satie is way too avant-garde and pretty hard to understand. Honestly, I'm a fairly simple person — I like pomp and fun, so I'm into pretty mainstream composers. I absolutely love Edvard Grieg — I could probably listen to him for hours on end. Sometimes I can't handle overly emotional pieces because they hit me too hard — so I stick to very simple stuff like Giuseppe Verdi (His music is emotional too, but to me, it has a simpler, clearer message). But here's the funny thing — I really love Offenbach. It's kind of honky-tonk, just a silly, happy chaos sometimes.

I think Arthur is pretty skinny no matter how much he eats, but he clearly has a soft belly and all that, he's not muscular i mean. He’s literally that ugly British who has cigarettes for breakfast.
