It took him a minute to progress her statement, the moment of realisation clearly visible in his face. “OH right, I was going to get you water, wasn’t I? I’m sorry, I knew I’d forgotten something.” Forgetfulness came all too easily in the middle of a vacantly wasted crowd or so he liked to excuse himself. “That’s… traumatising, to be honest. Perfect material for an anti-procreation campaign. Do you need a hand with that? I swear this time I’ll finish what I’ve started.”
"After fifteen minutes I realized you probably weren’t coming back. I’m not mad, but I should probably use my better judgement next time,” she shrugged her shoulders, shoving handfuls of stuffed animals into a wooden toy box as she spoke. But as Nate offered to help her with the rest of the mess, she nodded in his direction before gesturing to the toys sprawled all across the floor. “When she’s not making messes, it’s fun--it really is. She doesn’t cry much either, so I guess that’s also a plus. But having to go through a routine of cleaning up every mess by myself can get kind of hard.” At this point, Sinead couldn’t tell if she were talking to Nathaniel, or simply herself, as she spoke.

“No offence but I wouldn’t recommend vodka after your last reaction to a little too much booze or you might have an even bigger mess at your hands. Wait… has this seriously been caused by only one one-year-old?”
“Maybe if you’d stuck around long enough you would’ve seen how well I actually handled myself,” Sinead side-eyed Nathaniel, not having seen him since he ditched her at the Piccadilly. “Yeah--just one, very high-maintenance toddler. I hope you can see what I’m up against.”

“I don’t know much about kids but I think I could help you out with the second part? I’ve got vodka in my apartment, if you care to join me.”
“That sounds like about as much vacation I’m gonna get anytime soon,” she laughed softly, nodding along with each of her words with a slight roll of her eyes. “So, you’ve got yourself a deal. Lead the way.”
“How is it possible for a one-year-old to make this big of a mess?... I need a vacation. Or some vodka.”

“You could always contact the publication or have a third party do it, like a lawyer, or someone else. You could sue for defamation, whether libel or slander, if they, the publication, have written or said something bad about you. If you wanted to take action against the images that is one way to go.”
"Would that be worth it, though?” She questioned, a slight shrug of her shoulders trailing behind her words. “I’m sure it’s something everyone’s gonna forget about in, like, a week or so... It’s just kind of unsettling seeing your face everywhere like that.”
“You know, for the price, it really isn’t all that much better than the kind I make at home.” Georgie commented briefly to the person next to her. It was the first sign she had given to acknowledging them since sitting down at the table adjacent from theirs, and yet she spoke as if they were in the middle of a conversation. She stared down at the brown cup of coffee in her hands for another moment before shrugging and dragging her eyes to whom she was speaking to. “I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely good, but for twenty bucks I don’t know if it’s really worth it.”
Sinead sat at a small table at a local cafe while simultaneously scrolling through various social media platforms on her laptop; with her ex taking care of their nineteen-month-old daughter for the day, she felt that she needed to get out of the house for once. As if out of nowhere, though, a perky blonde seemed to initiate conversation interrupting Sinead as she watched another mindless Buzzfeed video that had popped up on her Facebook timeline. “Huh?” She asked, pulling an earbud out from her ear. “Wait, did I hear you right? You spent twenty dollars on that? Coffee?”
“You found a slice of pizza in all that oil? I’m impressed.” And here she’d thought that Sinead was entirely talentless. “I truly don’t want a bite,” the blonde chirped, playing with her straw. “I’d rather not feel like a stuffed, bloated trash can.”
“Fine, more for me then,” she snapped back, eyeing Celeste. “I mean, apparently whatever you’re eating is much superior. Y’know, totally not judging.”
