âDungeons, yes. Of course.â Luciano was quick to agree, eyes scanning the darkened hallways with what he knew wasnât obvious apprehension. Even so, his grip on the candle stick tightened, holding it just a bit higher. His friends words however, had his head snapping towards the other, grinning. â taken care of? Do tell, Nathaniel. Torrid affair? Scandalous heiress? How am I the only one not having fun right now? Unacceptable, this is changing tonight.â He replied, eyes bright even as a pout fell on to pink lips. âI appreciate it, your wingman tricks no no limits, from what I recall.â
âYeah, we should be good,â Nathan claimed with his usual confidence â only for the lighterâs flame to flicker and be extinguished. Cursing under his breath, he was busy trying to light it again as they spoke, convinced it would take at least seven tries this time around or they might just be lightless for good. âTorrid affair sounds accurately descriptive. It did take me a lot more work than usual, though. Like, really, a lot. Iâm lucky itâs been worth the hassle so far.â Frowning, he shoved the lighter back into his pocket in spite of being much more tempted of violently tossing it at the grinning sound technician. They had to be a sight for sore eyes for the crew, two very evidently grown men trying to creep their way through a narrow pitch-black corridor without breaking anything. âHey, anything to bring a little light to a good friendâs day. Every good wingman doesnât rest until the mission has been achieved. That should be law, really.â
