I have no idea why people have a problem with women capitalizing on their bodies and sex appeal when men will try to exploit these same bodies for little to nothing, regardless. You don’t have to dress like a boy or like a nun to be talented or prove you’re intelligent or skilled. You can be sexy, business smart and talented at the same damn time.

 Not to mention, all these “Where are the Erykah Badus? Where are the Lauryns?”are drowned out by the actual facts that Erykah has literally been naked in public and has multiple baby daddies while Lauryn Hill has had affairs with married men. I hate respectability politics with a passion. But god forbid, a chick wears a short skirt or twerks.

I was reading this thread on a forum where guys were even targeting women’s eyebrows- saying if a woman has thin eyebrows avoid her because she’s a demon and if she has thick eyebrows she’s “probably a man”. You can’t ever really win.

A while ago Facebook kept trying to advertise some kind of design magazine/website to me with an article “The Most Colour-Soaked Home We’ve Ever Seen” and I finally clicked the link and all the pictures were a bunch of white and off-white rooms with a couple of vases and books in bright colours scattered around. Like bitch you’re advertising this to me in Atlantic Canada we don’t do “splashes of colour” we let the floodgates open. Your lame-ass pallid designs have no power here.
