just some stuff about me and this blog ^^

my name’s milo, i mainly use they/it pronouns, but everything other than she is fine. gender is weird, but i usually call myself nonbinary or agender, i'm also aroace-spec

i want to start posting my art, but i’ll probably just repost stuff i find interesting and maybe write something from tome to time

i'm autistic and reblog a lot about my interests

things i'm passionate about:

anarchism and punk ideologies, dissability justice, queerness, 2000s technology (mostly ds consoles and digicams), also just art and animation in generall

my fandoms:

the magnus archives (&tmagp), sherlock&co, hetalia, bungou stray dogs, doctor who, house md, good omens, nevermoor

i mostly listen to folk punk, but i also like will wood, los campesinos!, my chemical romance and a lot of diffrent artists

english isn't my first language (i'm polish) so sorry for any mistakes

I just stumbled upon an Instagram reel that said something like "I'm probably trans but I'm too much of a misandrist to accept it" with thousands of likes (including a couple of irl friends of mine who know that I'm a trans man...) but sure the queer community doesn't have a problem with men and masculinity and the radfem rhetoric that's been allowed to prosper in queer and feminist spaces these past years is not harmful to trans men at all (/s)

the thing is that i actually do enjoy romance in fiction but i also believe that romance-repulsed aros have the right to complain that NOTHING is made for them except maybe kids media. once you start to realize how pervasive romance is in every sector of society it's impossible to ignore. like you remember when there were barely any gay shows on television and straight people expected us to be grateful for the one gay side character on a network show? that's exactly how it feels with romance all the time. i want to see media created by adults for adults that doesn't involve romance anywhere in the plot. i want to see characters (main characters!!!) not want romance and not be treated as broken or crazy. i want a world where my romance-repulsed friends aren't confined to kids media (and even then, to only a limited selection)

sometimes a found family is a traumatised super powerful child/teen, a guy who is literally not there 90 percent of the time, a boy who's probably going to be on the missing persons list within 3 years, a polyamorous opera singer, a man who's age will forever remain unknown, a short king who will bite you if provoked, literally the sweetest woman you've ever met, a nerd and giant cat

I know this is the autism but I feel humans are poorly designed for social communication.

No ears to pin back in fear or anger

No tail to wag to show playfulness

No retractable claws I can show you are sheathed to prove I'm just play fighting

Body hair that doesn't brittle so I can't make myself look big to prove you should leave me alone

Most cultures have decided smiling means being friendly when bearing your teeth clearly should be a threat

“Cringe culture is dead” isn’t just about letting 15 year olds cosplay MHA (but is also an issue). It’s about letting 50 year olds dance at clubs even if they’re “bad at it”, it’s about letting 10 year old’s wear random bits of clothes to make an outfit that’s “weird”, it’s about letting adult men experiment with artsy makeup looks even when they’re “messy”, it’s about letting teens scream music even if they “sound bad”.

“Cringe culture is dead” means letting people learn new hobbies at any age, experiment with their identity at any time, expressing themselves in ways outside the norm just as much as it means let 20 year olds play roblox. 

Cringe culture is just social norms being forced on people rebelling against societies value consensus, it’s keeping people in brackets that are easier to market to. 

Let cringe culture be dead in every aspect of life outside online spaces.

the problem with having a cool/enby/colorful haircut if you live in a place like Poland is that you end up having the same hair as your grandma. and many grandmas out on the streets will have wilder colors and better color matched wardrobe than you.

I just saw somone little in a long coat and short purple hair and a turquoise beret and thought that was my enby ex but then they turned around and it was literally somebody's grandma. the struggle is real

“Masculinity is never transgressive.” Do you know how much better I’m treated by liberal, casual daily cishet society if I present more feminine? If im an edgy woman instead of something a little bit too far into butch? How much more people smile at me, hold doors for me, are friendly to me? How is masculinity not transgressive for trans mascs if everyone, including my very supporting mother, is just dying for me to put on some lipstick and a skirt again?
