"when i decided to start this event planning thing i didn't know i'd have to beg people to forget about 'a crazy cute idea i saw on pinterest'. i swear that place will be my downfall." martina sighed, getting thrown impossible ideas by clients was one thing, but getting shown pictures of those, curated with a whole pinterest board it was even harder to get them to forget about it. "i might need your help with some things for my next event if i don't find a way to get my client to give up on it. anyway crazy client demands aside, what are you up to?"

"i'm so sore," yunho complained as soon as he was sat at the bar, training days at work definitely weren't fun when you can feel every muscle in your body aching after. "i get we have to carry heavy equipment, sometimes people too as firefighters but these workouts are just too much. i definitely can't lift my arms right now." he continued listing off all his complains, stopping for a second just to order his favorite.

aleyna wasn't having the best day, hence why she found herself at the local bar, just wanting to get a few drinks in before calling it and going back home. being the chatterbox that she was, she had talked to a couple of people, letting the conversations recharge her social battery, before finally taking her place right by the bar. feeling a presence beside her, aleyna was ready to talk to whoever it was, gearing up for another conversation when she turned her head and realized who it was, effectively wiping away the smile on her lips immediately. "really couldn't find any other place to sit at?" aleyna quipped, the bitter and callous tone considered out of character for her. it wasn't that she hated yunho. if anything, she just didn't understand him, didn't understand how friendship was so common for her with other people, but for him, it comes out as bickering, and he was the only one she was like that with and that confused her tremendously.

it was no surprise yunho was at the bar tonight, it was his favorite way to unwind after work and along the way it became tradition between him and his co-workers. some already left and others were scattered all over the place, meanwhile he was playing around with a glass of whiskey. his eyes focused on the liquid swishing inside, diverting every once in a while to look at the girl seated by the bar. after he emptied his glass, yunho sighed and walked up to the bartender motioning for a new round before siting down next to aleyna. "will one more stool really make that much of a difference?" he questioned, the corner of his lips twitch up in a smile. "oh come on, i'm so not the worst person here who could sit next to you." there was something about aleyna, or the way she never payed him attention the same way he'd see her do with others, and it irked him every time they had a conversation. "just between you and me, i don't think good ol' tim over there took a shower before coming out. you wouldn't want him in my place."

heaving a big sigh, aleyna found herself plopping down on deniz's bed, already having made herself feel comfortable in her best friend's place and presence, as per usual. "ugh, i hated today. i try so hard but some customers are just so rude and for no reason," aleyna whined. "i hope your day went better than mine today."

"i didn't have to deal with annoying customers so that's already a better day. what did those assholes want anyway?" she gave her a small smile, moving to lay on her side. "i got so much done today. everything for the upcoming week is scheduled, all i have to do is be online engaging when things drop, but both know i'll still be looking up new things." she couldn't help but laugh, aware she needed to focus on something besides her work, but she was too used to always looking for the next thing, always working. "i heard some rumors about some strange sightings somewhere close to hollow creek, and i've been lacking something recent for my second show. i kind of want to see it for myself, but i don't know if i should go."

SHE/HER. ) since you aren’t aware of them yet… that’s ( MARTINA DELGADO ) wandering around in hollow creek! from what i know they’ve lived in hollow creek for ( TWO MONTHS. )  i’m also aware of the fact that they work as a ( EVENT PLANNER. ) in town! but if you were to ask me, what i see when i think about them are: ( MANICURED NAILS, RUNNING AWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEMS, A WELL THOUGHT OUT STORY, A CAPTIVATING SMILE. ) if anything, i feel like they could be ( CHARMING, CONFIDENT. MATERIALISTIC, IMPULSIVE . ) it’s really weird, though… because they seem to be hiding something that no one else knows. but i sure do! and that is ( CLOSED FILE… REDACTED. ). wild, huh? i know. they’re hoping no one will ever find out. and the very last thing that i’d say about them is that they’re mainly known to be ( THE EXECUTIVE. ) just keep a lookout! who knows if they’re putting on a facade!

𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏  

people always thought being born a delgado was a privilege, and it made your life as easy as it could get. but nobody ever thought about the pressure behind a powerful name. starting from as long as she can remember, martina was pushed to be the perfect daughter. from her looks to her grades, nothing mattered to her family as much as the way they were perceived, and they wouldn't accept anything less than perfect and martina delivered.

her hair was always neatly done, her clothes ironed to perfection, her grades the best among her class. everything she did was to please her family and those around her. her parents were proud, though you wouldn't hear them say that as they thought it'd get to her head and she would stop reaching higher.

smart and calculated martina was the top story in her city - the example everyone should follow. and nobody was surprised to see her name written as a partner of an excelling marketing business. but what all of them failed to see was how burned out she was. but then again she knew how to put up a front, how to be perfect even when she felt anything but.

she kept pushing, kept showing up, kept doing more and more - until she was done. she couldn't do it anymore. she wanted to be free from the chains claimed to be wings put on by her family.

𝒏𝒐𝒘

it took years before martina gave up on her well-curated image, one she worked since day one to build, but all the pressure and expectations finally got to her. it came as a surprise, and a major slap to her family, when her firm filed for bankruptcy. everybody expected the business savvy to venture more instead, but she was happy. for the first time, she was happy even when technically she shouldn't be. instead of staying home to build something new martina choose to leave. she was done, she wanted something else from life and that's how two months ago she ended up in hollow creek.

𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔

she ventured into event planning a bit after her firm went under. she can't help it, she might be burned out, but she definitely isn't used to doing nothing.

at first martina isn't the most approachable, but if she decides to let her guard down she can be a fun person to be around.

she still puts up an image of perfection. how is she supposed to completely let go of it when that's all she's known?

𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔

maybe a muse she knew before coming in hollow creek. so it's basically a 'what are you doing here loca' moment.

added bonus maybe a past relationship that ended very bad so we can get that angst i love too much.

if you ask deniz where her passion for mysteries and story-telling comes from, she'd happily go down memory lane of all the long nights her parents would come up with their own stories, or act-out her current favorite book. she didn't have much missing from her life while she was growing up. her parents were loving, and most importantly supportive of all the little new things deniz took interest in. barely eighteen and out of high school, her life took the darkest turn she never dared to even imagine - her parents were gone. a bullshit story of the wrong place at the wrong time, people lining to wish her condolences and the only thing left were their memories. deniz tried to forget, tried her hardest to move on, but it didn't sit right with her. not when she never got the justice her parents deserved. deniz turned to social media, used every platform she could think of, starting petitions and fighting until she finally saw the people responsible on trial.

𝒏𝒐𝒘

after they solved the case deniz decided it was time to move on, go off to college and focus on herself, but after a couple of months she realized this wasn't what she wanted to do. instead she moved back home to launch her first podcast - untold murders, focusing on old and recent unsolved murders. soon after she started her second podcast - hidden in plain sight, focusing on conspiracy theories.

𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔

she has two absolutely adorable cats! cheddar - an orange cat & daffy, a black cat.

one of her bedrooms officially turned to a studio a year into hosting her podcast.

she watches way too many horror movies, her favorites are slashers.

she's a workaholic. someone save her.

living in hollow creek, deniz uses the eeriness to her advantage by covering all the little stories and disappearances that occurred in town.

𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔

well, we mentioned already this girlie is a workaholic. so i picture failed friendships/relationships especially after she launched her second podcast. could of been a lowkey falling out, or we could come up with some angst like give me that. we can also play it out now, just imagine deniz being able to pay attention to somebody else, but not them? angstttt.

they hooked up one night. aaand somehow they frequently end up in each other's beds.

give me a deniz hater pls, reasons can be messy, but also they just don't like her. definitely a reason could be her covering the disappearances in her podcast

a fellow horror movie lover. catch them host horror movie nights every once in a while and have way too many opinions about these movies.
