Today I learned that cuttlefish experience REM sleep, and that it makes their skin flash random colors. This is the cutest thing ever.

The electric eel at my aquarium has a voltmeter attached to his tank, and whenever he pumps out a burst of electricity–either when he’s navigating his tank or getting fed–the meter lights up and makes noise. Sometimes, I’ll walk past him when he’s snuggled up and totally motionless on his log, and see the voltmeter going crazy.

I am left to assume that he is dreaming, and is sleep-zapping at the things in his dreams.

I cannot BELIEVE Khonshu is playing the possession game again

He hasn't physically taken over Marc since the West Coast Avengers days, to my knowledge, but that was an extended stay

There was the time in the 2006 run where Marc did a spot on Khonhsu impression but at least my interpretation was it wasn't the bird himself, just a trick to get his hero licence

But the fact that Khonshu is full on possessing Badr, even with some resistance (or trying to clarify, right at the beginning?) is... Worrisome. Khonshu is out of bird jail and has decided that boundaries are a thing for lesser beings.

It'll be interesting to see if this happens again, and what Badr thinks of the intrusion.

Zodiac is calling from somewhere very blue/green

Zodiac made a deal with the Midnight Mission in issue 30 of last run, at which point mission also made him a green exit door

Mission has a theme of the green color scheme and coming back even when banished from this world, again and again

I think Zodiac is inside a reformed Midnight Mission, and just kidnapped Fairchild for future Marc torment/scheming. My only question is if the mission is back on this earth, why hasn't it found Marc again?

Somehow Zodiac's deal with the mission seems to be more important than the Mission taking up its old place. Not sure why, maybe Marc wasn't feeding it often enough? Maybe Mission is gonna double-cross Zodiac? Maybe Mission actually agrees with what Zodiac is doing?

Or, option 2: ghost house 2 electric boogaloo

Several pages after already talking about the Midnight Mission. And the blues and greens also definitely look like the room that ate Fairchild. Maybe there's a second House of Shadows? Or a new, different moving house that also eats people?
