slow burn or love at first sight } I'm a really big fan of slow burn because I'm arospec which is. Really the only way I can assume most relationships are formed because who the hell wants to date a stranger? Thats scary. Thats so scary. But god I also love the cheesy moments of two people swooning with heart eyes over someone and going "woaah... whos that.."
fake dating or secret dating } i will not lie when i was younger my favorite thing to do was to pretend to have really messy divorces with my friends in roblox because it was a funny ice breaker. Fake dating has a special place in my heart only because of the jdea of fake breakups.
enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers } BOTH ARE GOOD. BOTH ARE GREAT. Shoutout to me and my friend who did enemies to lovers with our OCs as an au and it was so good we made it canon. But also I'm dating my best friend so thats also got a place in my heart. Both are good.
there’s only one bed or long-distance correspondence } highkey I may be in a ldr and I'm a sucker for a scene of long distance couples or friends or whatever but I love one bed only because it's either really funny to watch them fight over the bed or another possibility of the characters rock-paped-scissoring for who gets the couch and who gets the bed.
hurt/comfort or amnesia } i already have memory bullshit i don't wanna read about that. I think it can be a fun read, maybe, but not my cup of tea.
fantasy au or modern au } i like both...I love any au generally..
mutual pining or domestic bliss } I LOVE BOTH J LOVE BOTH I LOVE BOTH. Character A pining and swooning over Character B whos making breakfast while wearing Character As shirt because they just grabbed whatever from the shared closet... smile emoji.
canon-compliant or fix-it } I will never deny myself either. Canon compliant is cool but so is seeing someones interpretation of events and how it could've gone otherwise.
reincarnation or character death } I would rather see my loved ones in every timeline no matter what than never see them again.
one-shot or multi-chapter } if I'm at a bake off and see two cakes I'm eating two cakes man
kid fic or road trip fic } I don't particularly care for kids in my readings, especially since I helped raise one from infimacy to being a 2 year old, but I do think its fun to read but I prefer road trip fics. Forcing my favorite guys in a minivan and making them drive to the grand canyon for fun and games and amusement.
arranged marriage or accidental marriage } I'll take either. Not too fond of arranged marriages but if its done funny enough (i.e. both characters having ceo parents and needing their companies to have grandkids to inherit the business, but character a and character b are enemies and one of them is estranged from their family so its a surprise to both) but I'm also really fond of two characters being married for something, like a mission or for political matters, and one forgetting but the otjer didn't and gets them flowers or something for the "anniversary" of their marriage.
high-school romance or middle-age romance } both are fun and good.
time travel or isolated together } icgaf for isolation. I think time travel is funnier. Fuuuuck bro I'm stuck in the cretasious period with my girl.. shiiiit....
neighbors or roommates } BOTH ARE REALLY FUNNY. NEIGHBORS ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE DIFFERENT SCHEDULES AND ONLY GET GLANCES OF ONE-ANOTHER. Roommates is also funny... stealing bros hoodie because its cold and bros always at work and lying that it was just a laundry mixup..
sci-fi au or magic au } I LOVE ANY AU I LOVE ANY AU I LOVE THE AUS.... I LOVE THEM EQUALLY...... Also magic is canon in any worldbuilding I do so im biased but god sci-fi can be cool.
body swap or gender bent } either or are cool to me. I can only accept gender bent if nothing major changes though (and if theres a trans character that they just. Transitioned the other way. And also if theres a nonbinary character they stay the EXACT same or theres a single minute difference.)
angst or crack } I'm not too fond of angst but I LOVEEEE CRACK. Crack Angst is an untapped gem though. Nobody is out there doing it ljke made up scenarios like Mario cheating on Minecraft Steve with one of the Rudins from Deltarune and its treated like ACTUAL cheating but theres still ridiculousness like "DID GREEN HILLS MEAN NOTHING TO YOU?
