when he'd arrived at jonathan's place, he'd half expected to see a mess of an apartment, and though it wasn't necessarily tidy, it wasn't as much of a dump as he was expecting. and the view, as he'd already observed aloud, wasn't half bad. a view he'd see every morning as the brunet pointed out. he could live with that. though he's still unsure about leaving hawkins, leaving dustin and all the memories he'd made. leaving his job, his home, everything he's ever known. some days he still wonders how nancy and jonathan could just leave, but he supposed they had bigger dreams than him. more trauma in the town than he suffered through.
there's a laugh as his head shakes. ❝ no, they're off for summer break. i get a whole ten weeks to do whatever i want. ❞ which, coincidentally, involved him going out of his way to visit jonathan. he'd have to swing by the henderson house once he got back for the trip with dustin when he got back but for a good week or so, he was here to stay. he hoped his host had good places in mind for a little tour of the city life.
❝ you're stuck with me until the end of the week. ❞ he teases with an easy grin. they'd already expressed sadness over not living near each other and thus not seeing each other as much anymore, and he'd be damned if he let them all fade away from his life. he would keep them together as if he were running a tight ship. that much he swore to himself after that night on the rooftop. ❝ please tell me you've got good pizza places nearby 'cause i'd kill for a pizza right now. ❞
