Blimey, 8 years since I last posted.

I’ve recently started to get emails again to say someone had downloaded a file from my Box account and it got me thinking about how much I loved this community and how happy this little corner of the internet made me.

Scary how quick time goes. You log off for the last time and don’t realise how long it’s been.

So I redownloaded tumblr to pop in and see how it was doing.

I am so, so happy to see so many familiar names popping up in my feed ❤️

I often wonder how the people behind the screen, somewhere in the world, are, what you’re up to and hope you’re ok.

I’m just busy, busy.

Life happened, I have a two year old now, how wild is that? (I wish potty training was as easy as it was made out to be in TS2 haha).

I really do miss the simblr community.

I’d love to say I’d have time to start reposting and re-engaging but the reality is I don’t even think I’ve switched my PC on this year.

(Also wth is a “blaze” I feel oldddd)

So, this has been sat in my drafts folder from a couple of months ago…

When the S.O. and I moved in, the previous occupants left the contents of their garage. Some things were super helpful (lawnmower, hedge strimmer and a gazebo!?!?!), some not so.

I needed a bookcase for my nerd room office. Came across a chest of drawers and a bookcase. Same width. Lightbulb moment. Deal with the S.O. - if still in the garage in six months, they go to the tip…

Challenge accepted.

20 Sliders

This is a set of 20 face sliders available for use in Bodyshop, CaS, and in the plastic surgery view. These sliders create inheritable facial features (of course if not used for a plastic surgery), and can be used on uploaded sims without downloaders needing to download the slider in order for the sim to display properly. Sim files do not contain information about used sliders.

If you have my pre-release set of sliders (simNopke-sliders1) delete it before you install the new set.

Conflicts The sliders themselves won’t conflict with anything, but their icons use a Maxis group, so slider creators have to be careful while setting instances for icons.

To celebrate tricking the headmaster accepting Lyra and Cygnus into swanky school, I give in to Lyra’s want to finally get a date…

So, we call up the matchmaker aaaaaand my game glitches, (a premonition, perhaps?) so Lyra gets a quick wardrobe makeover.

Being a witch I’m surprised she can’t magic up an (un)willing subject, but I suppose matchmakers play their cards close to their chest on that one - sharing would hurt their profit margins - not that the Creepy Hipsters have much in the way of fiscal favours… But Lyra blows the lot anyway.

Meanwhile, Laura continues her mid-life crisis, ignoring her offspring in favour of talking to her new babies the plants.

Or, you know, she could be talking to Creepy Hipster Guy, he is buried underneath them after all.

At least the Headmaster didn’t eat dinner with Cygnus... instead of going for the turkey, he chooses the out of date cake.

Not even being an alien hybrid can protect you.

He maybe academically smart, but this kid is lacking common sense.

(seriously though, I’m intrigued to think what kind of cake would give someone food poisoning irl??)

Thankfully there was a leftover Turkey dinner stashed in the fridge, so there was no need for anyone to set the kitchen alight, again.

“So, Lyra, tell me, what are you plans for after you finish your schooling?”

“World domination.”

“Huh. Well. It’s nice to meet a young woman with such ambition.”

(somehow that one conversation got 28 schmooze points??? daaaamn girl!)

(in fairness he was probably terrified she’d turn him into a womrat if he refused them entry).

Now it’s Cygnus’ turn to try and impress.

Somehow a tour of the dilapidated warehouse is enough to win 40 points for the tour.

“Haha, well, funny you should notice, but yes, I AM half alien - I guess the green skin is a giveaway? And, no, before you ask, I don’t want to study astrophysics - I’m studying robotics, I believe with enough skill, we could find a way to create a being with Sim-like intelligence**!”

Given that I just downloaded a mod to cast spells without the use of reagents, I thought Vince should be Lyra’s unwilling guinea pig womrat.

Of course, having a fully fledged witch come to your academy isn’t something everyone can brag about, and boy, would he like to get one over on his rival Headmaster BJ!
