         Lara found herself only clutching to the other tightly as she shook. Her conscious        tainted by the blood of the hundreds in Yamatai that only sought a way off the        accursed island. Was she deserving of the happiness that she held being with Sam?        Literally murdering people just to hold her again. Many people tell her she was right        for saving Sam, Reyes, and Jonah, but was the loss of so many others necessary?

                         Sam traced her fingers over the faint scars on her lover's back. They looked much better than they had when they arrived home. Lara had to be taken to the hospital. Sam was honestly surprised, and relieved, Lara lived through such wounds. Especially the one in her side. That one was still healing.                            Her eyes traveled the other's trembling form, a soft sigh passing through her soft lips. "Listen, sweetie. It's alright now. Everyone is safe. We can schedule a meeting with a therapist tomorrow if you want. I'll go with you."

       Visage buried into the other’s neck as tears began to rain from her eyes.        Slender digits soon found themselves tightening around the fabric of the        other woman’s shirt.

                         Sam knew this was true. She was traumatized from it. Almost having your soul transferred wasn't exactly the most settling thing to live with. She found her own nights filled with horrors herself, though she never told Lara about them. Lara had her own issues. And that was perfectly fine. Besides, Sam's weren't as bad as Lara's anyway.

                         The woman sighed and held her lover tighter, allowing her to cry her eyes out if she wanted. She didn't say much else. She only held her before gently pulling Lara into her lap, gentle fingers rubbing small circles in the taller girl's back.

       Taking Sam’s hand, she pulled her closer only to bury her face into        her lover’s shoulder. Her nightmares were recurring and would never stop so        easily. So to have Sam, safe and in her arms, was more than comfort.

                         The older woman sighed, then pressed a hand to the back of her head, running slender fingers through brunette locks. This really was becoming very concerning. Every night Lara would have these horrible nightmares, and Sam couldn't do anything about it. She pressed her lips to the other's temple, then whispered in her ear. ❝I'm going to be fine, Lara. We're safe. I know you're scarred from what happened in Yamatai, but that's all over now. Killing those people was necessary for survival. It was self defense, not murder.❞
