Pain is a Two Way Mirror
The agonizing memory of your love
Is shining through your magnifying glass
On the hottest day in summer firing at the ants
And this ant will gladly set herself on fire.
Every time you blink the thought of her creeps in
Just like how every time I thought of you
I hoped the creaking in my ho use was a serial killer
Waiting around the corner to kill me
Watching your pain seep through your tough bark is odd
It’s like looking through a two way mirror
Underneath the oceans waves
Because now we’re both drowning
Sometimes I sit up and count all the times
I wondered when you were lying to me
Last night you sat up wondering the same thing
Creating the same list just about her
You tell me you love her and that she’s all you need
“She’s the most wonder ful thing.” you exclaim
I can’t help but wonder
Did you ever think that about me?
Your love was her loss
But it is everything I wish to gain
