A fugitive flees into a graveyard to escape from wicked men.
Anyone interested in a short cathartic ghost story I wrote inspired by an old pulp character? Fans of Hellboy and old-school superheroes will probably get a kick out of this. I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think if you give it a read.
I drew Rellana the Twin Moon Knight from Elden Ring.

A Knight in The Upside Down, by me. It was very fun to blend old-school fantasy art with the science fiction weird horror that Stranger Things embodies, especially considering the show already heavily references Dungeons and Dragons. I imagine that if the Upside Down existed in a medieval setting, it might be assumed to be the realm of the faeries. Maybe Vecna would be the Erlkonig or an evil wizard, maybe the demogorgons would be assumed to be the horrifying true forms of faeries, etc. Instead of ruined homes and abandoned cars there might be overgrown castles and villages. It’s a fun alternate interpretation to envision.

This is fantastic, I love the colors!
What do you think the story is here? This is adapted from @maidens_and_knights’ Draw This In Your Style (DTIYS) challenge on instagram.
My tribute to the (awesome, in my opinion) Stranger Things finale— This show was a huge artistic inspiration for me over the years, and frankly, a comforting part of my high school and college years. I really wanted to draw an epic piece that evokes the cozy 80’s feeling and the epic Dungeons and Dragons thematic influence of the show. I call this The Mage and the Dragon— a fantastical approach to Eleven’s stare down with the Mind Flayer. I specifically wanted to call back to Will’s painting in season 4, in which the party faces down a 3-headed dragon. I couldn’t decide how I wanted to render this, so I took a few approaches— a retro comic CMYK style, a black and white lineart version, and a dithered OLED screen version inspired by the art of Vermis by Plastiboo (with some more influence from the artist Weeping Wyrm). What do you think? Which version is your favorite? I have a couple of other Stranger Things pieces in mind as well before I get it out of my system. I’m thinking next will be Nancy mowing down a bunch of Demogorgons in an homage to the DOOM cover art or Paladin in Hell.
