Ellora was on her way to work that morning, as always with some books in her arms that she needed to bring back anyways and exchange for new ones she was excited to read next. In fact, she was so stuck in just which books she’d get next that she hadn’t realized anyone was right in front of her until it was too late and she was smacking right into anyone, sending her books flying as she stumbled back.

But she wasn’t the one who fell, and immediately Ellora rushed over, books forgotten as she immediately moved to crouch over, “Goodness–are you alright?!” she asked worriedly, looking the girl over to see if anything was seriously hurt. With her luck she’d give someone a head wound and those were always a disaster… “I’m so sorry..”

“It’s fine, honestly I was in a rush so it’s mostly my fault.” She smiled up at her, trying to hide her shame. She was thankful she wasn’t angry or yelling at her for causing her books to go flying. “It really was my fault, I’m sorry about your books.” She lifted up and crawled over to where her books had fallen. She started to pick up the books and handed them off to her as she did. “I thought I was supposed to start work today and I was wrong, then somehow I ended up like this,” she motioned at her current situation. Hopefully her actual first day will go a lot smoother. 

“Can I help you carry these in or something?” She wasn’t exactly sure what the or something meant but she felt the need to offer. Finally taking in just how many books she was carrying, it made Sabrina happy. It was always nice to meet a fellow book lover and especially someone that seemed like they read as much as she did.

Mari was no stranger in walking through the town, knowing a few people as she passed them by, giving them small but curt waves of her hand. She’d simply gone a little bit of beauty shopping before deciding to head home, maybe even shoot a couple of rounds at the range. –or maybe even spar a little with those that worked for her family to keep her skills in check. She’d found it therapeutic to release the tension with her bare hands. Different than when she’d go running. 

However, she was completely stopped by someone running into her, and although she did not fall, easily stopping herself with her strength, she had dropped her bags and its contents. To this, she’d clench her teeth, trying to first process what had happened and by whom, then finally kneeling down to pick up her things. Mari would say nothing at first, controlling her irritation before bothering to speak up. The last thing she wanted to do was choke somebody out. “I think the words you are looking for are ‘I’m sorry’,” she’d simply say, her tone slightly dull although there was some malice behind them. The vampire would take in a deep slow breath of a sigh, then release before eyes would finally glance over to the woman. “Are you alright?” A brow lifting in question. Once she gathered her things, she stood above the girl, finally offering her hand, although she hadn’t actually cared whether she stayed on the dirty pavement. Afterall, the girl ran into her, thus Mari didn’t feel the need to stay and help.

Feeling the annoyance rolling off of the woman she just ran into, it made her want to melt into the ground. “Right, I’m sorry.” Sabrina was going to add that she was preoccupied but she had a feeling she wouldn’t care. “Lesson learned, watch where I’m going.” She made slowly made eye contact as she took the hand out stretched to her. Surprised that she even offered to help her up in the first place, she stood quickly. “Still trying to get my bearings here,” a little overwhelmed she wanted to add. She could stand there all day looking like she didn’t belong, as if everyone around her could tell. If it wasn’t for her determination to prove her parents wrong she would go home right then. Still she needed to get out of her head and stop overthinking every little thing. It wasn’t doing her any good nor the people around her, if that day hadn’t taught her already. 

“Any good things to do here?” She finally asked, attempting to fill the silence. Maybe she could tell her some things to keep herself preoccupied. Or maybe she would turn and walk away any minute since she’s pretty sure that’s what the woman wants to do. She hoped she would answer her question before she got completely fed up.

Getting used to change was never Sabrina’s strong suit but she didn’t have much of a choice now. Though her parents tried to talk her out of it, she was determined to prove that she could do it. What “It” was exactly was something she had to figure out. One good thing was she landed a job not long after her arrival and she got to be around one of her favorite things...books. As she made her way to her first day she couldn’t keep the smile off her face. The butterflies in her stomach weren’t going away but her excitement wasn’t either. 

One last deep breath and she made her way inside, almost knocking over a customer in the process. “Oh, I’m sorry.” She could have crawled into a hole right then. She could feel her face getting hot as she slowly walked off as they didn’t seem that upset. “Hi, I’m here for my first shift.” She spoke to someone that looked like the manager. They turned around with a confused look on their face, “You don’t start until Friday.” Immediately the embarrassment was back, along with disappointment. “Okay, see you then” She basically sprinted out of there and out the door. Slamming into yet another person, flying to the ground faster than she knew what was happening. “I...I...” Laying back where she fell, she just splayed across the concrete, essentially giving up. @paradisusstart​

It was one of the rare nights that George had to fill in at the bar of the Moonstruck Pub. A few of his employees had called out, and not wanting to miss out on a good Friday night of business (not that he really needed it), he was the one dishing out drinks for a change. 

 He had his back turned to the bar, meticulously polishing a few shot glasses when he heard the creak of a barstool as someone sat upon it. He sighed quietly to himself, finished up the polishing, and turned around with a toothy smile. “Evenin’, mate. What’re ya havin’?”

Still new to the city she wasn’t sure what she thought of the place yet, let alone what bars were good. Not that she was much of a drinker, she hadn’t even thought of what she wanted to order. “Do you have...a menu maybe?” She took a look around after she asked like others might laugh her out of the place. Like she figured no one was paying them any attention, let alone worrying about her being out of place. She thought about bolting, wishing the bartender hadn’t even noticed her. Then again she was in the mood to try new things lately so why not try a new drink.

“Can I ask you for a huge favor?” Poor Nora had yet to find home, find her sister after the mess of an airport, and really just wanted something to eat. There was no way she was getting into that crowded coffee shop with her entire life in the bags and suitcases that followed her. 

“Can you either watch my bags, or order me a muffin? I have cash- either one is totally fine with me. I just need something to eat.”

Sabrina stopped in her tracks, a little surprised someone would ask a total stranger to watch her things. She thought the woman was a little too trusting even if she wouldn’t dare steal from her. “Uh, I wouldn’t want to get the wrong thing but I can do either one, what kind of muffin?” She gave her an awkward smile as she stepped a little closer.
