Small bit of my WIP story. :)

It's something of a rewrite of the books but in my AU rather than the og. It won't stay 100% similar, I'll just use inspiration probably.

Nicky sat quietly in the back seat, staring out at the forested surroundings through the car window, noisy music playing loudly through his headphones, his walkman bouncing on the seat beside him. His parents were moving again, probably the furthest yet, practically across the country to the butt crack of nowhere, Missouri. It wasn't anything new, his dads work always moved them all over, this would be... at least the eighth time, Nicky's lost track by now.

He sat up a little straighter as the trees gave way to patchy clearings, old dilapidated barns and empty looking roadside shops popping up around them, the same creepy... cone dude pasted all over, obnoxiously pointing to a tiny road leading under a bridge. "Shit-" Nicky's dad grunted, breaking all too hard before swinging a tight right turn onto the road, leaving Nicky all but convinced they were about to tumble headfirst down the steep hill. "Jay." His mom said, an audible frown in her voice as she hung on to the handle of the car, making the other grunt in frustration. "The road was hardly visible, Lu." He retorts shortly, glancing over at her with a scowl before focusing back on the road. Nicky sighed, rolling down his window and sticking his head out, looking into the overgrown roadside littered with scrap and garbage. Trees brush past his head, the leaves tickling his face as the car meanders slowly towards the town, the cracked pavement crunching under the wheels. More houses come into sight, half of them looking rundown if not abandoned entirely, small strip malls and restaurants scattered around. His mom sighs, “God, this is the town? You said it was nice.”

Long procrastinated, Blight!Maritza colors!

this was a little rough, due to all of the .. Inconsistencies of her appearance... that's the main reason i put it off.

Maritza used to be very happy, a sporty, but very intelligent young girl, but after Lucy's death, she focused more on sports, and after Mya's disappearance, which she seemed to be the first to know she was dead, she became bitter and angry. She rarely does much but playing outside, swinging bats, throwing things, her grades have plummeted to failing grades, and no one can seem to console her. All she wants is revenge, thinking Mr Peterson is the one who killed Mya.

This is Blight!Trinity! She's an outgoing, selfless 14 year old with a resilient spirit and stronger authority. Being the mayor's daughter, she carries an air of leadership with her peers, often taking the leading role whenever needed. She's always tried to be something of a "Big sister friend" for Maritza, knowing the younger girl is troubled and lonely. She loves Tomogotchis and track, and was pretty close to Aaron when they were much younger, but grew apart over time due to not having anything much in common.
