Two #batcat on the stands and two #vintagehalloween cats. The kittybats are on the stands I provide if wanted for collectors who like to display my work instead of wear them. They also find lots of ways to display them which I love to hear about. I think of them as little paintings anyways, I'm just faking it as a jewelry maker 😂 I painted these especially for @halloweenandvine two weeks to go I'm so excited!

There is a sculpture of The Greek god of fire, Hephaestus at the hirshorn museum in Washington, D.C. That has haunted me for years. He is lame, but still powerful wielding a hammer rivaling the mighty Thor's. He is the patron God of crafts. He also had a difficult childhood he survived. My morning tea ATC done with #irojiten #coloredpencil on this paper I couldn't resist from #fabriano I think they are supposed to be used for business cards.

When I am in painting mode the world goes away. I don't even realize time is going by. In the back of my mind somewhere paperwork and watering plants lurk. @hedoodles inspired me to post a selfie which is also hard for me to do as well. I am tall but since I am always at home I feel like a bit of a gnome and how does paint end up on every piece of clothing I own? And how does it get on my shoulder?

Yay! Finished a commission I got back in June! I always find it hard when the client wants very specific things in a painting. How will I stay true to myself? What if I forget something? I didn't like it until I used some #coloredpencil Yay for colored pencils! It's a painting for a niece with aunt and cousins as owls. She was born close to vauverges picassos last studio #watercolor

#puck or #robingoodfellow for day 31 the last day of the #shadowheartchallenge midsummer night's dream. I was interested to learn that Puck is not Shakespeare's invention but much older and that he would do domestic chores to help out as well (I almost had him doing some ironing) It's been an amazing month of hard creative work and such joyful and eye opening work from my fellow challengers, I've enjoyed by every moment. I read up on the play, and apparently Oberon changed the four lovers memories into dreams as a way of fixing things. So here's my #shadowheartchallenge for King, Memory and Runaway hearts which are the four vessels Lysander, Demetrius, Helena and Hermia.
