reblog if you wear glasses. too many mutuals don't know they have glasses wearers in their midsts
I know this anecdote was meant to trash Amber Heard, but, frankly, it makes her sound cooler.
But she’s not wrong.
In 1987, actress Robin Givens began dating boxer Mike Tyson. They wed in 1988. In June of 1988, Robin suffered from a miscarriage and shortly afterward, she filed for divorce citing spousal abuse. She revealed Mike had been abusive during most of their relationship and marriage. During this time, Robin’s career took a nosedive. She was called a gold digger, a whore, attention seeking and accused of trying to ruin Mike Tyson’s career. Mike also accused her of stealing millions from him and “forcing” him into marriage by lying about her pregnancy. Robin continued to received negative press and was heralded as “The Most Hated Woman in America.”
Later, Mike Tyson admitted in his autobiography to abusing Robin. He even joked about “socking her” in 2009 on the Oprah Winfrey show. Oprah later issued an apology.
Still, Robin’s career was never quite the same.
With that said, let me ask: does any of this sound familiar?

i love loser boys as much as the next person of taste but where is the love for loser girls? loser girls i love you.
getting queer baited in 2022 by the duffers brothers is one of the most embrassing things to ever happen to me
no words
That's it. That's their friendship.
in the podcast robin says that nobody in hawkins ever surprises her, that she admires it when people have an actual desire to learn things, and that what she likes about tammy is that she’s curious. and then she gets to know the curious nancy wheeler who is so passionate and brave and goes around town uncovering mysteries and says “full of surprises, isn’t she?” with that smile on her face and i’m just meant to believe she isn’t head over heels
like for real though nancy spent all of season 3 working with sexist assholes & having her experience minimized by jonathan only for robin to stand up and give that speech at pennhurst, unintentionally proving to understand nancy more deeply than her boyfriend ever did in less than two minutes
who actually liked volume 2?
eddie munson stans are mad, max mayfield stans are mad, will byers stans are mad, lucas sinclair stans are mad, jonathan byers stans are mad, mike wheeler stans are mad, lumax stans are mad, steddie stans are mad, ronance stans are mad, jancy stans are mad, byler stans are mad...
i know they said it wouldn't have a happy ending but jesus christ-
the way they look like they’ve been together for 3 years and are just fed up with everyone’s shit in this scene is something so personal to me.
