Sooo, I hate the sun, guess what my nickname is, “vampire”. I’m what you call a “night owl” which means I’m basically nocturnal. It’s no wonder that I have Vitamin D deficiency. To make matters worse I suffer from high functioning depression ( dysthymia ) and the lack of Vitamin D made it so so so much worse. It’s true that I suffered from depression for a very long time but I never hurt myself, thought about it, but it was just a fleeting thought and I just considered it a side effect of the depression, but I got to a point where I stared hurting myself, and the idea of suicide became more and more appealing. One day a relative of mine visited me and along the way of the conversation she said that she was so tired and this and that, she counted her symptoms and while listening to her it was like she was talking about me. She said that she had depression and went to the doctor after some blood tests the doctor prescribed some supplements for her, and after taking them she said she was cured of everything. I went and bought a Vitamin D supplement and some Calcium supplements. From the first two days of taking them, I started feeling better. Better than I have been in a long time. I never thought in my whole life that the lack of one simple vitamin would do so much damage to not only your physical but also your mental health. Long story short, Vitamin D is very very important folks. Please take care of your health specially when you suffer from a mental illness or are going through some tough times. I got to know first hand that when you are tired mentally if you don’t have a healthy physique, your mental condition worsens hundreds of times more. I hope this chart will benefit you. Obviously I didn’t make it but the moment I found it I started sending it left and right to everyone I knew. I also posted it on all of my social media. And remember 1. the best time for making Vitamin D is when you stand with your back to the sun your shadow should be shorter than you 2.The sun needs to hit your skin directly 3. The darker your skin tone, the more time you need to make Vitamin D. PS. In summer some times the shadow is so short, it’s like all your shadow is under your feet, that’s the best time.
Peace out, beautiful people
