If gender is inherent, meaning men are really more violent and dominant and less emphatic by nature and male sexuality really has a “dark side” that is “uncontrollable” as many MRAs and Gender Essentialists suggest, then tell me one good reason why women shouldn’t pack their shit and move to a far away island and never associate with men again.

I, as a radical feminist, do not believe that men are inherently violent, that they have sexual urges that make them rape people. I think it is down to socialisation. I am giving men the benefit of the doubt because I have met nice men who showed humanity and compassion. I do not believe one half of the human population is violent just due to their sex.

That’s why I am fighting for gender to be abolished and socialisation to be changed. I am fighting for women and men to be taught the same things, independently from their sex.

But everytime a woman I know gets raped or battered or killed by a man I can’t help but wonder if I am a fool for doing so.
