Seriously, this isn’t how he wants to spend Eddie’s last days in town; he’s really content to swallow it down again, keep the peace. He’s going to tell him he put in the notice on the loft, and they’re going to head to the bar with their family, and they’re both going to smile while Eddie drives away in a few days, even if it kills them.
