My last post on here was negative, and I havent touched tumblr since, so I would like to share some positive things with everyone whilst im here:

- I have been supported at university for my writing and I am currently writing a play that will hopefully be able to be performed by the end of 2019

- I have finished my second year with a 2:1

- I have decided I am going to open my own theatre compny

ive never spoken fully about what happened to me and i dont think ill ever want to, but the only time i ever did open up about it properly i was told that i was making it up. i was told that maybe i just regretted it. i was told that maybe i drank too much and said yes but didn’t remember. i was told this by two women.

the fact that i didnt remember is the scariest part for me. what if id said no, and didn’t remember. i woke up hurting, bruised, bleeding. nothing made sense and i dont even remember leaving his place and getting home. but i went into university the next day as if nothing had happened. 

this was my first day of freshers. i was vulnerable, lonely, i had no idea where i was and why i was doing what i was doing. and someone took advantage of that. in a gay club. and this is why im terrified of going anywhere near freshers this term. 

i hate myself for letting something like this happen to me, but i keep forgetting that what happened wasn’t my fault, the people around me twisting it into something that it wasn’t. 

I was raped by a second year. And i dont remember anything about it, other than the pain i felt the next morning. and being told that it wasn’t real by the people you love the most - it hurts.

And as soon as i forgot about it, I got an STI, one that is basically incurable n made me feel like shit. It was as if I couldn’t get rid of him. 

I hope my sister stays safe during freshers week, cos what happened to me will haunt me forever.

What a beautiful day to remember that the people who create the “ace people are straight,” the “bi people are straight,” the “trans people are misogynist,” etc. propaganda are trying to tear the queer community apart to make us all easier to pick off so if you’ve fallen for it or spread it yourself, you’re enabling people who want to do harm.
