oh-my-aubrey:
Aubrey liked Halloween, by the way. She liked dressing up and candy and murder mystery parties. Storytelling, booze, absurd wigs. Plus as VP for social involvement an interest in and enthusiasm for social events was kind of a must.
Weight training wasn’t a social event though, thank god. It was an important part of her fitness regime though, Needed a decent amount of muscle to support a pyramid. A good place to zone out too, Aubrey could stick in her earbuds and lift some weights and just exist for a while, not worry about future or past or school. What pulled her out of it was the wailing sound.
Sadie. She hadn’t even noticed the girl when she’d walked in. Aubrey tugged out an earphone as she glanced over, eyes dropping to the cradled hand. “Are you alright?”
Sadie pulled her hand away from her wrist, shrugging. “Fine. Didn’t mean to scare you, sorry. I just hit it wrong.” She worked on catching her breath, watching Aubrey without really trying to. She couldn’t remember ever seeing her here before. “Do you always come to the gym late at night?”
