Taking a pause in tms uk content as I thought I’d make this doodle of my dearest object sona daisy to wish you all a happy disability pride month. As a disabled person, this month means a lot to me as well as many others. My belief is that this month further shows disabled folk like myself that our disabilities are parts of who we are and that we should be proud of that. Anyway, this doodle isn’t much and is quite belated, but I wanted to make something in honour of this month <3

I created daisy a year ago when I got into the fantastic show that is inanimate insanity thanks to an edit of a fine British babe of a taco singing /j . Anyway as one does I created a character to represent myself and to be completely honest I couldn’t see daisy competing in the actual show

As for their character as you can see daisy is a wheelchair user. But if you know daisy you will know that is probably the least interesting thing about them.

You see growing up I struggled to accept being disabled especially during my early years. And i know if there’s one thing that would have helped me grasp that my disability is something to be proud of it would have been to see more characters in my favorite tv shows and movies as a kid who were disabled users just like me. As a matter of fact one cartoon character in a certain kids show with THE EXACT SAME DISABILITY AS ME and at the time same mobility aids was enough for me to believe my permanent circumstance want all that bad. In fact I did a whole presentation at school as to why disabled representation mattered so much and how bad representation affected disabled children.

My goal when creating daisy was to have them be the disability representation I needed as well as many other children like me needed when they were young. Yes I wanted them to be a wheelchair user just like me but I also didn’t want that to be the only thing that defined them. Daisy doesn’t feel like a burden for their wheelchair. They believe they are worthy of a loving relationship despite their disability. They don’t want or need fixing. Because being disabled is a part of them that they are proud of. Surely it will prevent them from doing certain things but that’s what being disabled is. That’s what disability representation should look like.

Children shouldn’t be made feel like they don’t belong or should be ashamed of their disability, no matter what it may be simply because every piece of media they see is a disabled character being portrayed as the villain, hating their disability, or getting ‘fixed’.

I created daisy because I knew growing up that is what I would have wanted to see people like me be perceived. And I know it’s what other disabled children will need to

So if daisy ever becomes incorporated into a cartoon someday, I hope they are what it takes for a disabled child to feel seen.

Ok sooo im currently on holiday in Turkey for a week and it turns out discord is banned in Turkey!! Meaning I will not be able to chat to anyone on my server there until Tuesday next week when I return. So this is just a message for all my friends in my server and on discord to let you know as I planned to be popping in and out bud sadly I cannot do that :(

Anyway! Im really excited cus its my birthday tomorrow!! 🥳🥳Most of my presents won't be here until a week as its tadc merch but I'll do a hual once I get them all.

We have reached the final day of the lineup!! For my last pride art post ive got another canonically gay character, that being bun! (The bunny in robobunny ig).

I return with day 8!! Today ive got moth who i hc as trans. I have to give some credit to my friend cotton for suggesting this hc. I think it makes sm sense as moth has the antennas of a male mother despite being female. I couldn't pass the chance to draw the flags on her wings, love how it turned out!!

I know my next post isn’t due till tomorrow giving the pride lineup but I wanted to pop in to share this SpikeyScales art I made! 2 SpikeyScales art in the one day I’ll! If you couldn’t tell pirhana/pufferfish is wearing the outfit Danny/samantha wore when they were a guest on the panel during the finale. I’ve wanted to draw them in this fits for awhile so I’m happy I’ve finally got around to it!!

Here is day six!! This one I've been excited to post as for today, I've drawn spikeyscales!!

As for my hcs, I strongly believe that pufferfish is bisexual (look me in the eye and tell me she isnt straight /j) and as for pirhana I see him as unlabeled because i believe it makes sense and ive has this hc for quite awhile and it still stands. Anyway, I adore these two and ill cya guys tomorrow for day 7!!
