This is a great listen. An overview on what this person believes is happening. I agree with her.

I love you ppl who have asked genuine questions!!!!
We don't have to arrive at the same conclusion at the end of the day, but if you're not being an ass you're cool in my book!
Ooh good question!
While I have MAD respect for the bilor sect of gaylors my personal interpretation is this is bearding yes. From the fact that their relationship started with an ad for concerts, to their first appearance being in a getaway car (nothing good starts in a getaway car) on a blocked off street, to the AO3 boat pap walk, to every kiss looking exactly like theatre stage kisses, there is a lot fishy with these two.
But I also think it's more than that.
As a primer I will go ahead and inform you that on the New Heights podcast she said and I quote "I want to show my fans performance art."
Now let's rewind.
Midnights era: the era where the famous "can I plan something 3 years in advance?" Quote originated.
This era included a video series in which she revealed the tracklist of her album.
She presents this as a random bingo roller choosing the order, but it's not.
How do I know?
First track announced is Her Special Number 13, the song? Mastermind, which is entirely about how she masterminds shit to look accidental but it's not. "What if I told you none of it was accidental?"
Keep in mind at this time she was still dating Joe Alwyn
The next two numbers 8, and 7, 87, Travis' number
Then?
6/23
What happened on 6/23?
This same era is when she goes HARD on the media and her fans for demanding marraige and babies from her.
No deal, the 1950's shit they want from me
Bejewled is a retelling of Cinderella notice what the Evil Stepmother says
Then Taylor goes to perform a SHOWGIRL ROUTINE
And wins the competition, getting the prizes which include the proposal
And what does she do?
So let's fast forward back to New Heights.
She says "I want to show my fans performance art." While announcing her SHOWGIRL ALBUM and then allegedly IMMEDIATELY AFTER GETS PROPOSED.
So in conclusion how I think TNT is gonna end up?
I wonder how many of the people distressed over Taylor’s associations the last two years think BDILH is only addressed to anti-gaylors.
ttpd has a lot of these songs..
i often wonder too and i always do my best to look at these kinds of songs from every angle down the line of proximity. like if it’s at all meant to be a song addressed to her fans, what’s the takeaway supposed to be? is it addressed to swifties? is it addressed to anti-gaylors? is it addressed to gaylors? but also is it addressed to kaylors? in what ways could it be applicable to me? what could i be missing here? and not as a parasocial exploration but as a matter of introspection and humbling oneself.
it’s easy to fancy oneself the albatross in any situation but if you’re not careful, you might find yourself to have been the sailor. or a wise man that believed fake news, a shot messenger, a jackal, the devil, or just to have been some seafoam in the background 😌
I always do that. I try to look at songs from multiple perspectives. That's actually one of the best things for me when Taylor releases a new album or song. I always listen to it a few times before I come here and on my other social media accounts... it's such an amazing experience for me. It's the best part, actually. I always get a 🤯 from my perspective on 2 or 3 songs.
Like this specific song, BDILH, until I saw a post on Twitter last month I believed in something completely different.
But now, imo, even though I believe that in some songs, the message is directed to more than one specific person/group, it's more than clear that this song was directed mainly to Swifties.
oh for sure.
also tho lowkey the anybody-but-karlie gaylors 🤭 like it’s very specific to pre-museless gaylorism idk but i think people who were around at the time would agree with me. just the degree to which these lines feel inside baseball knocks me off my chair every time
as for this, well 😆
man, she was so insane for this
I actually cried
it kind of reminded me of this quote from tshoeh 😭
THE SECOND CLIP
karlie attending the wedding... kaylor friendship narrative again🤯
YUP!
jackedapplejacks it's you from the future to say yes this is exactly what happened
the best feeling in the world 😩🤌
wait so does this open the door for a greater amount of people (swifties etc) to be open to a kaylor interpretation of The Great War?
During the tail end of the Lover Era, a Swiftie once tried to argue with me that False God was a song Taylor wrote about her and Karlie's "platonic friendship" and that Taylor didn't mean what she said in the song literally, she just had no choice but to say what she said in the song as a metaphor because her and Karlie's "platonic friendship" was just so strong that it was the only way to get her point across what Karlie meant to her... platonically, of course. Lol.

So you’re trying to tell me this wasn’t on purpose? 😂

Just thinking of this gem again. 😭
Just for reference for the newbies, Karlie posted her post 13 days before folklore was announced, before anyone knew about folklore at all.
let’s go back to this friday feeling 🧚 🧚
remember when karlie posted this video 13 days before taylor announced folklore on july 23, 2020?
the visual of the long sweater/jacket, dancing in the folkorian forest, yeah.
The delicate keepsakes were treasured in Victorian England but much about them remains unknown.
here’s a great article on lover’s eyes for the unacquainted :)
and a link to my crazy theory
☺️editors note that i recognize i overly embellished this with inessential ideas 🥴but i still love how a few months after making this post
tonight's eye excitement made me revisit this Artsy article, and reading about the Lover's Eye art phenomenon reinforces my belief in the eye theory™ 100%. taylor would totally do this.
In 1785, when Maria Anne Fitzherbert opened a love letter from her admirer, Prince George of Wales, she wasn’t expecting to find an eye, gazing intently back at her. The British prince was lovesick—and desperate. He’d fallen hard for Fitzherbert, but their courtship had been disastrous: Royal laws forbade a Catholic widow like his beloved from becoming a monarch. To make matters worse, the upstanding Fitzherbert had fled the country after the prince’s first proposal, in an attempt to avoid controversy. But the prince was determined, and on November 3rd, he penned a passionate letter begging again for her hand in marriage. This was no ordinary proposal, though—it also contained a rare, spellbinding gift. “I send you a parcel,” George wrote in the letter’s postscript, “and I send you at the same time an Eye.”
Indeed, the package contained a very small, potent painting of George’s own right eye, floating uncannily against a monochromatic background. No other facial features anchored it, save a barely-there eyebrow.
... Instead of standing in for the whole person, [lover's eyes] depicted just a minute feature. What’s more, they embodied a specific action: the gaze. “It is the look of someone that the [lover’s eye] is a carrier of,” Grootenboer explained. “It is the look that someone wants to imagine, and wants to feel as resting upon themselves.” The act of looking, and its importance in late 18th-century British society, is central to deciphering the mysteries of eye miniatures. At the time, British culture “was infatuated with with seeing and being seen,” Grootenboer explained. Because social codes limited public interaction between people of the opposite sex, looks could more easily be exchanged than words.
i will never be over how well lovers eye jewelry fits into all of this, despite how randomly it was run into at the time. and the puns… the puns!! the take me out take me home of it all!
Taylor when being asked why her meticulously planned wedding incurred every bad luck superstition, bad omen, bad sign for a couple, excluded everyone who wasnt also a coworker from the wedding party, walked down the aisle to a song she has purposefully associated with being groomed as recently as last month, used her ttpd font and a lyric that implies the relationship will end in flames
