To be fair Kadar was equally infatuated with the mercenary and their odd times together were quite a sight to behold if anyone happened to know their occupations as well as their generally rough exteriors. How Kadar managed to keep work away from his and Sergej’s time together, near impossible to comprehend. A good grip on what was personal time and what was appropriate at certain times, perhaps.

"What do you mean…? If you have a dog, I think I can handle myself." Though he’s never met Innokenti, so maybe he shouldn’t go assuming anything so fast just yet. "When do you have to go?" A slightly disappointed question.

There had been a few bumps here and there when keeping work out of his time with Kadar. A couple of slippery situations had been taken care of, his leg was healing alright, and his boss stopped asking where he went so long as his job was done. The only thing that was truly bothersome were the longterm missions..

Sergej scratched his neck idly, "He's a pretty large dog and he's not used to visitors. That and, uh, he might not take kindly to you 'breakin' in'." He checked his watch and tipped his head to the side as he thought, "..I've probably got a couple hours if I book it later."

Another laugh comes from him and he brings his free hand up to cover his mouth with the subsiding snickering.

The pause doesn’t bother Kadar, though the staring does get him to awkwardly rub at the side of his neck. He looks over to the other’s phone as he looks at it, glancing up to his face when he tells him he’ll be late. A small frown appears, but it disappears just as quickly.

"Oh… Okay." It shouldn’t be any problem. Give him time to run his errands since Sergej will be busy anyway. He hums lightly in thought. "Large dogs…? I’ve never had a dog, but I love animals." A bright smile, swinging their hands between them gently.

The slight swinging brings a warmth to his chest. The mercenary didn't find it childish so much as simply endearing. It still surprised him how sappy he could get over the Arab. Kadar would probably laugh at him if he gave voice to half of the things that crossed his mind when they were together.

But he had to control his affections for now, "That's..good. When you, uh, get to my house? Call me. Before you open the door."

Their shoulders brush as they walk closer together, Kadar happily squeezing Sergej’s hand again in excitement. Now he wasn’t one to brag or anything, but… "Yeah, it wouldn’t be too much of a problem I don’t think," he gives a short laugh and looks back up at the taller male.

"When should I head over?" He supposes he could get a few errands done before having to go over there, but to be honest he would rather forget his errands and spend more time with the other. Sadly, their work kept them from making rash decisions like that.

There was a smirk, "Oh ho, I'm sorry my locks aren't challenging." He snickered.

It took him a second to actually respond as he was too busy staring at Kadar's face. "..Hm? .. oh, right." He reached into his back pocket with his free hand and pulled up a couple texts on his phone. "... ... I might be a little late tonight .. but you can go in anytime. Innokenti will watch over you and the house."

As he was sliding his phone back his face scrunched and he sighed heavily, "Shiiit, uh.. how do you feel about ..uh... dogs? Large dogs."

The answer makes him smile again and he nods his head curtly. That was always good to hear—when he didn’t get to see Sergej often it… helped knowing that he hadn’t really forgot about him and that he still wanted to see him.

Confusion crosses the Arab’s features for a moment as he looks up to the other, head tilting to the side curiously at his words. Though, his own colored cheeks are still fairly warm from his initial inquiry, and Kadar simply looks down to the ground instead.

"That sounds good… I uh— look forward to it." Fingers tighten around Sergej’s hand as they continue walking.

Sergej missed the look as his eyes had been upturned. But they returned to the shorter when he spoke again and squeezed his hand.

A sincere smile plastered itself on the Russian's face and he walked a little closer to the other, "It'll be locked but I'm sure you can just let yourself in if I don't answer, right?" He smiled playfully and pulled on Kadar's hand so that their shoulders could nudge together.

"Yeah…" Blue eyes glance to their hands, before he playfully nudges him with his shoulder. "Now that I’m back in town though, we should have more time to spend together. Is that okay?" Always so polite, even when he knows the answer.

Pulling Sergej along he looks back to him every now and then. “Is… work going to keep you busy tomorrow? I… can come over tonight if… u-uh…” Oh no, that was a bit too fast and too sudden even for him. Red colors his face and he looks away to make sure Sergej can’t see—or at least try to avoid him seeing. "N-nevermind."

There's a snort and a roll of eyes, "Like you need to ask."

The taller hummed a negative and waited for his question..only it was cut off. Cornflower blues blink owlishly and he felt his own cheeks warm at the inquiry. "Oh.. uh." He shook his head at Kadar's attempt to retract his statement and cleared his throat, staring up at the sky, "I mean.. I don't mind. I've got plenty of room, it's just me an' Innokenti anyway..."
