"if you've no idea why i'm here, i'm going to be - really upset." they're lucky that the boy's father isn't around ( or is it unlucky? the old man could do some damage if he so wished & there's no denying that the thought of that would have kakihara smiling ). still, noctis is alone - and in his lonesomeness he would be victim to kakihara's wrath. a man so pining for his boss, he's well and truly on the warpath.
"you might have heard the rumours-" slow steps circle the lad, a tease of the needle he holds between his fingers "that our boss has 'run away', well-" the slightest hesitation, a stop before the other - eyes that glare across at noctis "i think that's bullshit. i think your family knows something."
does he really? maybe not. but it never hurt to intimidate.
Up until recently, Noctis had been kept out of the family business almost entirely. He'd always known who his father was and what he did, but Regis had wanted to keep him away from that life for as long as possible. It had proved an impossible task though. Noctis was more vulnerable when he was kept in the dark – a more likely target for those who wanted to get to his father.
Kakihara had caught him in one of the rare moments he was actually alone. His father was away on business with Clarus and both Cor and Gladio were otherwise occupied. Noctis was all alone, but he refused to show his fear. Cor had taught him that doing so was a weakness that could be exploited.
"I hate to disappoint you, but I don't. I don't even know who you are." He doubted the man would appreciate that answer, but it was true. "I don't know anything about your boss either. So get lost, huh?"

those words would have kakihara clenching his chest were he to show his hurt. how's a man of one of the families not heard of him? the notorious, 'masa-the-pierced' ; he'd been compared to a nightmare more times than he'd care to remember. become somewhat of a horror story shared between yakuza. well, he'd be lying were he to pretend not to revel in the awfulness of it all.
he frowns, lowers his eyes to the floor - a sad shake of his head. "you're rude-" a hand slips into his jacket, a long, thin needle slid free of a pocket - its edge a-glimmer in the light of a nearby streetlamp "surprised your father never taught you any manners."
god, he could almost cry to think of the head of his family - his boss gone for long enough now to have kakihara pining.
"there's no fucking chance you don't know anything" he steals a breath, anger so rare an emotion - it's hard to swallow "so, what do you know?"

(( ive been a lil slow here in light of all the shit at home the last few weeks - but - i managed to finish all of my drafts on heid & am going to tackle what i have here to be queued again. i hope everyone's doing good over here owo ))

immediate suspicion has him wanting to march on over to corneo's hovel, bust down the door and drag the little man out by that small scruff he calls hair - alas, that would be rash. takayama had advised against it; suggested that their enemies ought to be dealt with but a murder without reason could spur a war.
as much as kakihara could get behind the pain of a fight - a gang war perhaps isn't the best of exploits. such violence would lead to wall market becoming a blood bath and again, though he'd not mind, he can imagine that their friends over at the shinra would. the company would come down hard and fast if a gang war were to bleed into the upper plates & knowing where his family stand - that would be inevitable were he to go against corneo.
he'd have to bide his time. approach cautiously, patiently. he's a man entirely used to the restraint that comes with playing the long game and though he'd itch for retribution, the pay off would make it all worth it.
a hand pushes open the parlour door, a wave toward the bar - his usual. a white russian; something aside from spite and pain to keep him going. eyes cast across the club, girls in their booths and the lonely patrons pining over them. he wonders what they're talking about -
probably not anjo.
still, one has to wonder if the leak has successfully reached the ears of those beneath the plate. he has to think whether or not she's heard. what she makes of the situation - when he sees her saunter on by, he's quick to catch her attention with something almost akin to a smile.
"melissa-" he instigates, a tilt of his glass to greet her "i forgot how classy your joint is" a far cry from the many clubs owned above plate. depraved company for the rich and powerful. "i don't come here nearly enough." it's tough enough to smile with the glasgow grin across his face let alone the weight of loss on his shoulders. still, he takes a sip of his drink - looks to her and teases as one does a friend. "you free for a chat or...- do i need to pay?"

he's eyeing a cart of flowers - dashing eyes across the colours as if he's lucky enough to have stumbled upon a rainbow. though his expression fails to show it, the gangster likes the look of them; the contrast that comes with something so pure in someplace so depraved.
"nice flowers-" he coos, an appreciation in the little things. a momentary lapse to take his mind away from the bigger issues at hand "they're artificial, aren't they-"
she does well to stand out against the grime of wall market - an innocence ( or is it? ) untainted. a distinction that does well to snatch attention. "how much?"

"alright, sea-man" his play on words is a crude one, one not partnered with a smirk but instead the placement of a cigarette between his lips. smoke is exhaled through the wounds in his cheeks - eyes that look over the other as if to analyse him.
all kakihara can think is one thing - did that tattoo hurt? pain etched upon the features, a testament to a man's resiliance ( or his pleasure ). the smirk finally comes crawling -
"your tattoo-" he leans forth, any barrier broken by the closeness of the gangster "it hurt?"

"you came highly recommended-" his cigarette is so close to the butt, it does well to singe his fingers before he throws it to the floor. a dash of eyes across the room - his right-hand leaving for long enough to see the two of them alone. eyes like beads scan their surroundings; a small studio, cute place. "i'm in need of a touch up."
his words, though suggestive would have them both surely knowing the meaning; the irezumi on his back, a far cry from what it once was. old scars ( & fresh ones ) disrupting the flow of the art. the old thing looking shabby ( hell, looks how he feels as of late ). ever since the boss had gone - it's as if all colour has drained.

how does a man say 'i love you' when his mouth is so...preoccupied? the only thing that jae would get outside of a mumble is a struggling tug of the man's lips - the tears in either side of his cheek, a garish insight at the fangs inside. his eyes wide and watching - pupils that follow hand and needle as if he watches not his own torture but rather a performance akin to art.
a shiver teases his spine with a tingle, the tremble of his thighs obvious in the way it's hard to sit still. with the splice of the needle that hits gum, he exhales a breath from flared nostrils - presses lids into tightness. feels the tears that the other had warned him about; craves the moisture.
it isn't enough yet to shift shibari beneath his clothes, but it does have him eager for more. the thrill of pain ( the dread of it ) - a fever that can very well make a man delirious. ( just how delirious is he? ) insane enough to have it hit the bone and feel only a thrill; that familiar squeeze of agony, the turn of his stomach - a pleasure that has him feeling drunk but then so sober ( all at once ) - an amalgamation of emotion that has him addicted; he'd be pumping heroin into his veins had he not found solace in the simpler things first.
"oh jae" he shudders, voice a drawl that wrestles with the force of the other - words a slur "you're teasing me-"
he really is - because there's no doubt, kakihara wants more; whether that be another needle in his gum or teeth pulled, even the simple idea of more-to-come has him shivering with excitement. what a fun day - !
