soft reminder: you’re alive. you survived the worst nights you’ve ever experienced. you picked yourself up when you were at rock bottom. you made it through the worst relapses, loneliness, heartbreak, failure and darkness in your life. when you wanted to disappear you stayed, time and time again. you can make it through anything. you will get through this too.
I honestly believe that people who lost their childhood, teenage years to mental illness and/or trauma are so strong for still being here. Especially once you’re about 18-25 and trying to relearn how to be in society and healthy and human.
Especially when you decide to work towards getting better.
Especially when your life isn’t where you wished it would be.
Stay alive okay? If you lost your youth, I’m sorry and I’m so proud of you for still being here. Keep fighting. Your best years are ahead of you.

give yourself time.🌱 if it takes longer for you to do everyday things, it’s okay. if you need longer to make a decision, it’s okay as well. if it takes longer for you to get out of bed or to gather motivation to do things, it is okay. please do not rush yourself, please do not feel bad because others need less time than you do, it is okay. you decide how much time you need and you set the pace. and guess what? that is totally okay. give yourself time.
recovery is not just the option, it is the inevitable
