Are you alone, locked inside That prison in your head?
Fragments of the past become something like anchors binding the heart to things that no longer existâŚ
Victor Pelevin, âNikaâ (via thepapercowboy)
dreamers disease
they say 'home is where the heart is', so where do you keep your bed?
and if home is where the heart is, then what do I do with this empty chest??
and if home is where the heart is Itâs a CRYING SHAME we CAN'T afford the rent.
Iâd rather be homeless.
'So fuck making love, see Iâd rather make history.'

âWhen I was in the hospital they put me in a bed, gave me a little arm tag, and told me they were gonna fix me right up. The last time I remember being in like a hospital where I just stayed, it was significant. They didnât tell me I was gonna get better. They said youâre gonna get worse, and worse, and worse. Eventually when you get too ill your body will give up and will cease to be and so will you. They told me about 24 months, you know 24 months and then youâll be kicking up daisies. The funny thing about that is, that was like seven years ago and Iâm here today. So I guess they were wrong.â
Jason Aalon Butler (via the-professor)
I gave you something you can never give back, don't you mind?

The creative marketplace is extremely competitive. Whether youâre a photographer, designer, an artist, or in a band, itâs extremely important to be good or even great at what you do, but you also have to be different! The good news is that everyone is unique and different in their own way, so you donât have to look very far to find what makes you special, but you do need to be honest with yourself.
[Neil deGrasse Tyson:] âWe have one collective hope: The Earth. And yet uncounted people remain hopeless. Famine and calamity abound. Sufferers hurl themselves into the arms of war. People kill and get killed in the name of someone elseâs concept of God. Dare we admit that our thoughts and behaviors spring from a belief that the world revolves around us? Each fabricated conflict, self murdering bomb, vanished airplane, Every fictionalized dictator, biased partisan and wayward son Part the curtains of societyâs racial, ethnic, religious, national and cultural conflicts, And you find the human ego turning the knobs and pulling the levers. When I track the orbits of asteroids, comets, and planets, Each one a pirouetting dancer in a cosmic ballet, choreographed by the forces of gravity, I see beyond the plight of humans. I see a universe ever expanding With its galaxies embedded within the ever-stretching, four-dimensional fabric of space and time. However big our world is â in our hearts, our minds, in our out-sized atlases? The universe is even bigger. There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on the worldâs beaches. More stars in the universe than seconds of time that have passed since Earth formed. More stars than words and sounds ever uttered by all humans who have ever lived. The day we cease exploration of the cosmos is the day we threaten the continuance of our species. In that bleak world, arms-bearing, resource-hungry people and nations Would be prone to act on their low contracted prejudices, And would have seen the last gasp of human enlightenment â Until the rise of a visionary new culture once again embraces the cosmic perspective; A perspective in which we are one, fitting neither above, nor below, but within.â
âLife is so short. Take a moment to feel alive. I know all we meant was to expand and to thrive. But we sharpened our claws and we went to war. With ourselves, with each other, with the rich and with the poor. With anyone different, who believes in less or more. Step out of the shadow, cast by left and right wings. Take refuge in each other and the triumph that it brings. Since we stood on two feet, weâve been worth so much more. Now tear down the walls, that were built to divide, Itâs time to extinguish that fire, that fire inside.â

Thereâs a long road of suffering ahead of you. But donât lose courage. Youâve already escaped the gravest danger: selection. So now, muster your strength, and donât lose heart. We shall all see the day of liberation. Have faith in life. Above all else, have faith. Drive out despair, and you will keep death away from yourselves. Hell is not for eternity. And now, a prayer - or rather, a piece of advice: let there be comradeship among you. We are all brothers, and we are all suffering the same fate. The same smoke floats over all our heads. Help one another. It is the only way to survive.
Elie Wiesel, âNightâ
