USP - unique selling point
hook - what makes us the best choice, grab them with an emotional response
pitch = project proposal
become familiar with the client, do your pre-pitch research and communicate effectively.
people are kinder with paper than computer
show empathy for client, give your honest opinion when asked (or at least seem honest)
the occasional swearword does the trick - but dont go into bogan
listen to the bloody client
prepare to answer qs about concepts/cost/timing
the client needs to know what to expect and when
- communication sched
be passionate/confident
believe in the damn thing
use the right language
take feedback on board
never overpromise - be realistic
know what you can do, and how long it takes you
never criticize the product or its competition
structure, be clear, complement each other ‘greater than the sum of our parts’
write down key points
dont read or repeat whats on the screen
nail it in the first and last 15 secs
worst doodle ever
