MOVE  ON.  she  should  just  ignore  it  in  move  on.  the  sound  of  someone  struggling  with  the  dead  filtered  through  the  trees  to  her  right.  THEY  WERE  PROBABLY  FINE.  if  they’d  lasted  this  long  they  could  no  doubt  handle  themselves.  ❝  crap.  ❞  the  mutter  came  as  she  turned  to  make  her  way  towards  the  noise.  if  she  were  SMARTER  she  would  have  just  taken  off  in  the  opposite  direction.

breaking  into  the  clearing  sophia  spotted  the  man  managing  to  take  on  two  of  the  walkers  admirably,  but  a  third  was  coming  up  out  of  his  eye  line.  knife  out,  sophia  moved  crept  silently  behind  the  lone  walker,  BLADE  QUICKLY  BURIED  in  the  base  of  it’s  skull.  reaching  out  she  grabbed  the  shirt  of  one  of  the  remaining  walkers  and  pulled,  the  unexpected  momentum  causing  it  to  topple  to  the  ground  where  it  was  EASILY  dispatched.  

with  a  huff  she  righted  herself  and  turned  to  watch  as  THE  FINAL  WALKER  was  put  down.  ❝  are  you  bit?  ❞  god  sophia  REALLY  HOPED  her  help  hadn’t  all  been  for  nothing.  though  it  wouldn’t  be  the  first  time.          @miserybled​

waking  up  with  NOT  KNOWING  WHERE  SHE  WAS,  it  was  disconcerting  to  say  the  least.  pushing  herself  to  sit  up,  her  head  span  as  her  equilibrium  righted  itself.  it  was  only  several  deep  breaths  that  kept  her  from  emptying  her  stomach  right  there.  reaching  up  she  felt  a  tight  knot  on  the  back  of  her  head.  well  THAT  EXPLAINED  the  splitting  headache.  

slowly  getting  to  her  feet,  sophia  found  her  pack  on  a  chair  next  to  her  bed.  a  quick  search  revealed  her  weapons  to  be  gone  though  everything  else  remained.  really  she  wasn’t  surprised.  the  last  thing  SHE  DID  REMEMBER  was  coming  across  a  group  of  scavengers,  then  the  dead  showed  up  and  ...  well  it  ALL  WENT  DARK  after  that.  guess  she  owed  someone  a  thank  you  for  getting  her  out  of  there.  

from  behind  her  a  door  opened,  causing  her  to  spin  and  face  the  intruder.  BAD  MOVE.  it  took  her  a  few  moments  for  her  eyes  to  actually  settle  on  what  they  were  seeing.  NO.  NO.  NO.  she  knew  that  face.  in  the  years  that  had  passed  she’d  forgotten  a  lot,  but  NEVER  that.  the  sound  of  her  pack  slipping  from  her  grasp  and  hitting  the  floor  filled  the  otherwise  silent  room.  ❝  are-  are  you,  is  this  real?  ❞  it  had  to  be  the  concussion  making  her  see  things.  THIS  COULDN’T  BE  HAPPENING.        @shefiights​
