Our vision is to educate the childrens, provide meals to the hungry, and improve the living conditions of India’s impoverished. SAF’s efforts also include female empowerment, the prevention of child labour, and the prevention of early child marriages.

Follow Shamandeep Singh (SAF CEO) as he visits families in need, and goes over the current construction of Bhai Mewa Singh Shaheed school in Lopoke. These are children and families who are living in poverty and getting by with the bare necessities. Shamandeep Singh makes trips to India 2-3 times a year in order to connect with the families that SAF supports. He spent his time visiting families in need (lorvand parivaar) in person, and getting to know them and their personal stories. He was able to meet families surrounding the area of Amritsar Sahib as well as visit the construction site of the Shaheed (martyr) Bhai Mewa Singh School in Lopoke. Sikhi Awareness Foundation is overseeing this project with the funding being provided by Gurdwara Sahib Sukh Sagar, New Westminister, BC.

Sikhi Awareness Foundation (SAF) International in collaborations with Datawind Technologies held a fundraising dinner to equip Punjab government schools with smart technology. It was SAF'S first fundraiser outside of BC and it was a great success. We were overwhelmed with the love and support shown by Toronto sangat.

We visited Punjab and various other regions of India to speak with children enrolled on our sponsorship program, so that we could ask them a simple question.  "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
