Some 10lbs yappy little dog bit and tried to fight my dog when he was off leash play with other dogs. My puppy was behavior himself, but when the dog did this he fought back, should I have scolded him or anything? I immediately pulled him away and then let him calm down, we walked a little then went home. Also I haven't been walking him as often anymore because I'm afraid this behavior made him worse...what should I do?
First of all, you should absolutely be walking your dog twice, or even three times a day because of how young they are (I’m assuming as such, because you refer to them as “puppy”).
If there are any off-leash dogs that “charge” Sagan, I either put myself in front of him and yell “NO!” at the other dog -- usually that works. If they’re still insistent on bum-rushing him, I physically pick up my Shiba and call out for an owner. I’ve never had to use forceful tactics to get an off-leash dog away, as they normally wander off at this point, but don’t be afraid to do so if they’re a threat.
I would also recommend not taking your puppy to an off-leash dog park until they’ve gotten proper socialization with other puppies their age & the vaccines needed; look into puppy classes in your area. Most dog parks in my area do not allow puppies younger than 6 months in, so that’s a good rule to go by.

akitas are large, wise, old samurais. shibes are just smol
