I feel like I am missing something here with people saying this interview is associated with off campus. The press release made it seem like the actors chose their favorite players, meaning it’s just between Belmont and Mack, and Belmont requested Mack, which is exciting. Also be so fr, what are the chances that Mack has actually watched off campus. If he did any research, he probably saw that he was non MAGA and had a beautiful WOC gf who he’s stayed with through his rise to fame with no cheating allegations. To clarify on why I think a Hud/Con interview with Mack would be a disaster, there are a lot of ppl here who are crossing parasocial boundaries (as proved by the poll earlier today) and the fact that the pool shit is all over TikTok and twitter. This would absolutely bring in more of those fans. Plus it leads to us as fans getting trashed again by the general nhl audience. If Mack had to do this interview with ANYONE from the cast, I’m glad it’s Belmont who is one of the only non MAGA ones and has a beautiful WOC gf

Also, we’ve got to make sure to not let RPF narries interfere with how we actually perceive these guys IRL. A lot of us like to think of socially charismatic, charming will as the savior for awkward, socially useless Mack which can make for a fun narrative! But the truth is, Mack has made MANY more important friendships than 99% of people his age…it’s just that these friendships are with people that are so high profile and famous that they like to keep it classy and private and stay off social media. STEPH CURRY has called Mack a friend, so has draymond, so has jimmy butler, so has George kittle, so has Crosby, mackinon, mcdavid, maker, suzuki, list goes on. We’re talking about a guy who was invited to the elusive Halifax literally in his rookie year and was documented to have gotten into the Olympics partly because of how well he gelled with everyone at the summer camp.
